I have never felt less rewarded for my time in a game.

This follows up a previous post I made about the loot and crafting.

I have honestly never felt so unrewarded for my time investment into a game before (as the title stated).

I am now in the teens of map tiers and since the beginning of my second journey into end game:

I have not found a single greater jewellers orb - severely limiting my power
I have found about 10 exalts in total from monsters - everything else has been currency exchange out of desperation
I have completely given up on gambling, I mean, crafting. There are so many points of failure that it is quite literally impossible for me to upgrade parts of my gear.
I have not found a single item worth keeping, trading or using from monsters.
I have entirely resorted to trading once I hit a level of frustration from no drops or hit crafts
That last resort is now impossible due to the trading economy being completely controlled by 100+ divine orb price fixing. Where are people getting all this currency???
I have seen 1 divine orb in 3 days of end game.
I have rolled about 50 bows to try upgrade, not a single one hit.
I have rolled every single piece of jewellery with the prefix I need with no luck. I just simply can't rely on rng to give me the combination I need.
I cannot engage in crafting any more when you need multiple exalts which just don't drop enough and it is quite literally a waste as you will fail the craft 99.9% of the time
There are way too many junk affixes or affixes like movement speed (which is super rare) that should be implicit on items.
There is so much loot, but none of it has been meaningful for me

Is this a game about trading, and feeding the price fixing lucky few or an arpg where loot is actually meaningful?

We need a way to craft what we need, not too easily, but what we have now is up to 6 levels of rng gambling.

I absolutely love the gameplay aspect of PoE2 and the levels of player expression but I just can't fathom why loot and currency is being treated as some divine blessing that players should just not receive in the amounts or quality necessary to sustain the total rng based ways of obtaining gear and power. I am on the verge of packing it in or levelling another character and calling it a day until things improve.

Loot will never feel meaningful in this game until t5 rares drop in abundance. Till then we are forced back into the poe1 formula of being pigeonholed into the highest div / hr strategies to buy upgrades.

They said they wanted people to actually use crafting currency more, or they feel like they failed, so hopefully they actually stick to that promise and revisit it.

They've done the opposite, you pop a regal, no hit and then just junk an item over and over and over again. essences don't help because you end up stuck by the 3rd hit anyway. I really don't know how people are getting enough divines/exalts to sustain the economy rn

The only people enjoying the economy right now are those who converted all their exalts to divines at 1-3 ex per before the randomly shot up to 60+ ex over night. So most likely 1 or 2 groups of people decided to buy out the supply and price fix the rest.

Not saying all the points are wrong, but... How? My Warrior's entering tier 10 I think right now and I usually get an exalt on average a map. Although I do end up burning through most of them gambling for upgrades and failing.

Omens really need to be more common I feel, but its not like I chase the ritual mechanic, so...
Div/ex price inflation has been completely artificial, you can see "intended" exchange ratio on trade website, 1 div being listed next to 20-25ex. While currency exchange cartel managed to drive that ratio to 80ex, probably more by today. Those are players who reached T16 maps first, thus having strongest items they now list exclusively for divines, and sell divines too, sucking all exalts from not just new players, but simply players who played less hours per day than cartel did.

I hope GGG finally learns the lesson and will act against scam on such a scale next season/league, as OP said it makes getting new gear even more frustrating for less experienced players, and relying on loot and self/crafting is BS, another noob trap, this time from GGG side.

Dude I have no fookin clue. I'm getting 1 exalt every 5 maps if im lucky. I have juiced up the rare monsters too. Bosses just rain augs and blue items and the occasional junk rare

Last week on my sorc I was able to trade for fair prices but now it's just a joke. An economy reset is already needed now tbh
Just one thing, if you play on maps, almost 30% of rares will drop you an exalt.
Saying you only dropped 10 is bullshit.

You can drop more than 10 only on the campaign.
You lying dude.
There is that one time I got a collospy and got constipated.

That was about the same pain/reward(fun) that poe2 is.
