PURE CHAOS Blood Mage Witch (Endgame)
Here is my tentative approach to a PURE CHAOS Blood Mage Witch GLASS CANON BUILD.
It is super fun and deals crazy amounts of damage. BUT, in order for it to really work perfectly, I will need you guys' effort. I would do it by myself but it would require a lot of funds that I don't have. I listed all the things I think need refinement (with more to come). Please feel free to comment with suggestions. I will try to be very precise with phrasing how I think in which direction the refinement of the build should go. The Build and all of my thoughts can be read here: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/jm5dj01f https://www.twitch.tv/kognix (my stream for gameplay action) Last edited by Ethan#6629 on Dec 20, 2024, 7:39:37 AM Last bumped on Jan 3, 2025, 10:31:58 AM

I'm on t15s with pure chaos hexblast currently doing 19k/26k dps depending on mapping/bossing gems. The leech is absolutely not worth taking and I'd try to grab a couple %2 life on kill gems instead. Gore spike is bugged but going down to the 15% base crit will give you literal thousands of dps.
If you're going crit, the best thing you can do for your damage is getting two huge crit mods on your weapon and focus (on top of the other stats, ofc). Depending on the rolls, it's like 160-210%ish crit between a wand and focus which should add 2-3k dps each. Swap out the chaos mastery gem in hexblast and replace it with the 40% aoe increase to make mapping smoother. Throw it back in for your 5th slot eventually. Anyway, I've tweaked my build a ton over the course of mapping, and eventually I dropped Potent Incantation since it hits your cast speed and only gives a little bit of spell damage. I'd probably start moving those points into Controlling Magic. Might wanna take the crit chance nodes you passed up at Critical Exploit as well. Hover over some of the big crit notables and see how much value you're missing. It should be a lot. Before you keep it rolling, my two cents is this build is absolutely not worth investing in as much as I and everyone else wants it to work. The current state of Blood Mage as a design is just a disaster. I'm level 87 so lord knows I get it if you're gonna go ahead anyway, but the effort and hoops it has to jump through compared to any functioning build is absurd. |

I did a similar build:
https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/9586z01g I don't know if going armor was a good idea, It make gearing harder and I'm still a bit squishy. For me, leeching is mandatory and allows you to recover all your health with each attack. I don't feel like I'm lacking damage (I do around 55k dps.), so I haven't taken the critical nodes yet (see the two trees on Maxroll). However, I hope GGG fixes Spike Gore, as it currently doesn't provide any critical damage at all. Last edited by cf987654321#5073 on Dec 19, 2024, 10:40:47 PM

What I find troubling is that Hexblast crit chance is not displayed correctly. No matter what I do it always says 7% crit so I do not know how to adjust my build in that regard.

That's strange, I don't have that problem. My critical hit chances are displayed correctly. In the image below, you can clearly see that I have 38.4%.

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS CONCERNING SURVIVABILITY
it is actually somewhat playable I got 3rd ascendency and I am using unique gloves that help so much adjusted a few support gems it is getting better and better everything except for the skill tree is updated |

Hey, what item gives you needed amount of spirits?

|
How you are applying three curses? I don't see you with the additional curse node, even then, it just adds one.

> Just my gear? Check the planner. How you are applying three curses? I don't see you with the additional curse node, even then, it just adds one. > Blasphemy Spirit Gem. I tweaked everything a bit. I am getting closer to what I want. Still need large amounts of currency cuz I am broke as a joke. Survivability still a major concern in Maps Tier 12 and above. I swapped to Intelligence (just enough to wear gear/gems) and Strength (dump everything else) in order to wear items that require Strenght/Intelligence and therefore give me Armore too, which is contributing heavily to tankiness. Also made changes to Skill Tree. Last edited by Ethan#6629 on Dec 23, 2024, 7:47:11 AM
