Path of Exile - Sekhemas edition could just be a stand alone game. What is GGG doing? They need to bag this and put it in with some cosmetics and microtransactions.

The fact that there is a thriving sekema carry service proves how crappy the trial is. I got my points and never went back again. Suffered through the mind numbingly boring temple of chaos since adorned were so expensive. Talk about wanting to gouge my own eyes out with a rusty spoon.

I start to feel bad because i jump on every one of these posts.
Yup they suck. The Concept is bad. The Execution is miserable. It is nothing but a time waste. I feel disrespected the second I enter. I hate it! I loathe it! I don't play more than one character a season because of it. I sit on character creation thinking of 3 things.... Do i want to do the Trials. Do I want to do Count Geonore , the most crap . monologue ass mob! Do i want to fight Jamanra , overtuned monologue hit point bag ! Ill be honest, more than once just picturing being in those encounters . I turn it off and go play something else... They are that bad. Game Ending bad. In fact ... .Game Starting bad ... More and more i realize the meta in this game , is the build that avoids playing the crap. People stop playing the game because the trials exist. Its like a restaurant serving boiled skunk ass as an entree. When they serve it 1/4 of the place leaves ... At GGG they start to wonder .... Can we BBQ Skunk Ass too ? the 4th floor is where it gets hard, but there are people that do zero hit runs so how is that possible if it's so overtuned?

Agreed, Sekhemas isn't fun whatsoever and takes way too long. I wish it was twice as difficult and half as long. My eyes start glazing over the 4th or 5th time I need to mindlessly run and touch crystals. It's literally a waste-your-time simulator.
I think they need to move the annoying and pointless traps from Trials of Chaos and put them in Sekhemas. In Trials of Chaos, the traps are borderline pointless - there's enough room to completely ignore them and there's no time limit, so they quite literally do nothing most of the time. Wouldn't it make more sense to put traps in the trap-themed Trial of the Sekhemas? Those time trials might actually be interesting if there were traps and obstacles you needed to navigate through. Meanwhile, Trials of Chaos are mind-numbingly boring too. There's so little monster density that enemies pose no actual threat. The enemies should be at least twice as strong if there's going to be so few of them. The modifiers are laughable too; you're not actually being given choices if the choices are "Your character dies instantly if this ghost touches you" and... "Lightning runes that do zero damage appear once in a while" - Gee, I wonder which one people are going to choose... Making your character weaker never feels good. I don't understand why we aren't just given choices to make the enemies stronger instead. |

Sekhemas is a great mechanic and if you don’t enjoy it run chaos
It takes like 20-30 minutes the first time you do it for asc points and that’s it. If you can’t handle that time investment for your final ascendancy, in a 3+ month league, then the game is not the problem Mash the clean

i really like sekhema and only wish it could be streamlined or buffed at some point after completing trial of time. i've stopped running it for fun because it's an hour of doing stuff in 80 area of mediocre rarity instead of 80-82 areas with bonus rarity. outside of the broken unique it's basically a jewel farm that takes way too long.
those that can't stand doing it one/two times per character - cmon seriously get over it other than cost v reward being off for repeat runs what i think should be addressed is sacred water use: - on first run you can pay for some honor restore, that's nice, later i only care about +50% damage and +40% movement speed - when converting to keys i get 1 gold key for 7 water, 2 bronze 2 silver for 1000 water, this has happened multiple times, don't know what that's about - no matter how much water i have i can't do anything about 5% health/es removed on hit, and the layout can funnel into it, and it makes timelord 800% more dangerous as one time stop bubble during the lightning spin gives him time for 20+ tiny hits many builds can't stop. i think removing afflictions should be an option in the balbala shop |
