Really?
What is being prepared? A new witch hunt..?
Necro of a thread this old means we've entered the first stages of the zombie apocalypse.

And play a different game instead...because no one wants to play a stock market simulator =)

thats what i m doing now.

i've realized, over the years all i've been doing is farming harvest for yellow juice to sell and THEN buy what i want.

i've never actually dropped many things what i want myself. sometimes i do get other stuff thats good but thats usually a very rare occurance.

i've come to accept that i shouldnt not play games balanced around a live trade economy.

tho i dedicate 1-3 hours to gaming daily, i ll still be behind no matter what.

there are people who "live" in poe, many have guilds that min max their trade strategies. RMT exists too.

and lets not forget the time rax dropped a mageblood which also dropped a duplicate and "GGG"'s twitch account made a smiley face in his chat.

i've played a decade and got no mageblood/mirror and rax gets mageblood to drop with a duplicate and "GGG" just so happens to be there?

lol. i respect my time more nowadays

I will strongly stand by my suggestion that they need to implement an NPC with Default conversion rates, that GGG controls, and it doesnt even need to be actively/live. They control drop rates per league so they can change the conversion rate per league based on that. If the market is crazy for a divine go to the NPC and exchange there. It will serve as a HARD CAP on divine prices and inflation as a whole.

That's because we're playing a currency simulator, not an ARPG. The devs and the vast majority of the community have somehow reached a positive consensus that it is OK if virtually every WEARABLE endgame piece of gear dropped ON THE GROUND is automatically deemed useless. I don't mean "this can be improved with X, Y, Z", I mean a complete joke beyond the earliest and poorest of mapping builds.

Every day this forum is filled with comments like "the crafting system in this game is perfect" and "the items in this game are perfect". Which "items"? The ones you filtering out in endgame so you don't even see them drop by the buckets in every map?

It's difficult to stay focused and motivated in an ARPG endgame once you come to the realization of "why are all of these items dropping if they will never be useful"?

Even now a new patch approaches and where are the flood of suggestions to rework and/or buff the MASSIVE amount of endgame level uniques (level requirement 60-70+) whose power level became obsolete 5-10 years ago? Crickets.

And literally everything I just wrote has been repeated in POE2, either by ignorance or by design who knows.

actually i DO like poe's crafting system. it being RNG is actually fine

the big problem is the item drops.

i've played undecember extensively at a time. its p2w but i ignore that somewhat.

undec draw a huge lot of inspiration from poe where it has many of poe's currency.

the HUGE difference is the currency drops are fucking generous. like what the fuck. i found myself crafting quite decent gear early on in the game and even in the end game.

it made me feel sick. this p2w game copied POE but yet it felt BETTER than POE? how the fuck did this happen?

i'll tell you how. its because the devs want players to play this game forever.

how many exalts do we get when playing campaign? how many alteration orbs? its normally stingy as fuck. but when i played undec, i had so many that i felt that i SHOULD use them. if i ran out i could FARM MORE.

i never felt this way in poe. whenever i ran out of alts in campaign my immediate thought is "fuck i should have just turned them into chaos and bought myself an upgrade".

its really sad that it took me so many years to realize i was being fed shit. i had to play a p2w game in order to realize things could be better.

there are many things that i inherently dislike in poe now. and if i m being honest. nothing will change. players LOVE the game for how it is. i will get shat on for criticizing their beloved game. but thats fine. this game is catered to people like them. they enjoy the grind.

recently i see stuff like how people just focus on flipping currency and they make big bucks. my friend also did that a few years ago. he told me something which i already knew but my heart sank anyway. "i m earning way much more flipping currency than playing the game".
