A note while leveling with ED/Cont, I recently hit Dark effigy and on its own it can maintain 50% chaos dmg increase on all targets when slotted with withering touch. Using this until I can get Withering Presence :)

Does % increased Energy Shield from Equipped Focus that we take translates into Mana via Eldritch Battery? Also does % increased Spell Damage while on Full Energy Shield work on us considering Eldritch Battery? Also, since we are taking Eldritch Battery why are we taking so much % increased maximum Energy Shield? Conversion does not take into account % increases to stat A. Sorry if these questions are stupid, I don't have much experience with the game.

" These questions are absolutely not stupid. I do cover that in one of my build updates. We don't take any maximum energy shield nodes because they don't actually translate for us into mana, unfortunately. Even the nodes that just take into account your focus, do not work. I haven't tested to see if the Spell damage boost from being at max energy shield works however - probably not worth investing that many points into though. |

" Thanks for the suggestion! This guide is specifically just for getting to Maps and then having folks go crazy with their own spin on the build with Uniques, build variants, etc. I can totally see why this would be very good with this build though! |

I'm trying this out now in a variant with CI.
I might ditch Blasphemy and cast curses + contagion myself (or experiment with Hexbloom) so I could play more ranged. There could be mana issues then, but I have a lot of Mana Leech and will not level the curses up unless I feel comfortable with the mana cost. " Sounds very cool! I always struggled with using CI in SSF unless I invested a ton of time in my character. I can absolutely see this working though, as Mana is our Life pool and it should work out as long as you have enough. Very nice idea! |
