Happens to me too, tried everything found online and no solution. Even killed Geonor again to see if I'd even get the option to travel east. Talked with Zarka on act 2, exhausting all dialogues but nothing.
Supposedly there are people complaining that later on when finishing the whole story, there are problems with starting end-game.
Help us GGG!

Same bug. I don't have access to Maps on the character, so there's no way I can progress or use any of the workarounds.

I was already in endgame NOT having this bug and then joined a friend that has the bug trying to help him to get the problem solved. but now I have the same bug and mapstone drops are almost gone in endgame.

I hope they fix this asap, because my lvl 80 monk is now almost useless...

I was stuck at act 1 cruel, did some trading and joined other peoples hideouts, came back and now The Hooded One would not take me east to act 2 cruel.

Going to act 2 normal and talk to some people, came back to act 1 cruel and I was able to travel east again.
