I love 90% of these patch notes. The 10% I don't is the Trial of Sekhema changes. Unless a patch comes out with "Honour has been removed from the game" that is still going to be dead content in due time no matter what you do. a 35% reduction isn't going to amount to anything. Honour is an anti-fun mechanic and nothing you do will fix it.

Hello,
I’m not sure if this will reach the developers, but here’s my feedback: As a new player to PoE2 (though many might be returning from PoE1), I’ve found the trading system frustrating, and I’d like to share my experience. I always gravitate toward mage/sorcerer classes in games and started PoE2 with a CoF-comet build. Getting started wasn’t too hard, especially around level 40. While the nerf to CoF-comet saddened me, I understand it was overpowered and deserved balancing. After finishing the campaign—twice—and moving into endgame, I realized I needed a new build. However, the builds that suit map-clearing seamlessly often rely on specific unique items, which are random world drops. When I turned to PoE2 Trade to find these uniques, I became frustrated and logged off immediately. The frustration stems from the fact that essential uniques for some builds are locked behind currencies like Divine Orbs, which I don’t have access to yet. Other uniques are listed for Exalted Orbs, of which I’ve only managed to gather a few—not nearly enough to trade for what I need. Could you consider introducing a universal currency that everyone has access to and that’s usable on the trade site? I’m speaking purely from personal experience, and maybe this isn’t an issue for others, but it’s a major barrier for me. Additionally, is there any possibility of implementing a way to adjust passives without having to visit the Hooded One each time? It would be a great quality-of-life improvement. Thank you for taking the time to read this! |

Really great changes, and thank you especially for actually reviewing on-death effects and their place in this game.

Maybe just delete "freeze" on the skill tree, instead of slowly nerfing every patch.

Way too many “unfun for the sake of being unfun” mechanics in every part of the game. Why are map waystones even a thing? Just let us play the nodes and for the love of god why 1 death? If I wanted hardcore I’d play it. Why are wisdom scrolls a thing? that’s like 25yr old tech. Diablo 2 is old and clunky man, trying to be like that game is bad, that game is not good people just think it makes them sound sophisticated to say it is. Stop trying to cater to 0.1% of players, you alienate the rest. D4 S7 ias already going to have a tidal wave of players who bounced off this game. It has potential, just needs some work. Loot is terrible. Uniques are trash. Areas are too big. Unfun roguelike mechanics in a non rogue like genre.

" I second this notion. Even if the xp pentalties for dying remain, this would map mapping far less stressful, and players would likely push higher modifiers and tiers without fear of dying once. Overall, great notes here so far GGG. Keep up the good work and happy holidays. |
