"Ascent to power" Bugged

I emailed support because "Ascent to power" is bugged in cruel locking out me out my asscendancies just as my character might have started to come online.

They told me to raise a ticket here, I am pretty sure it has many many posts here already, but ok I will do as I am told. This is me posting that Ascent to power is bugged.

For the record, I think this is why most games with quests allow the user to cancel quest and re-request it, so that they can be "reset" from the start, i.e. there is a work around while people wait for bug fix.

Also even if the bug is fixed, how are all our characters going to get sorted, once they are in this state ?

Do I continue on this character to find out I will not get my ascendancy because the character is borked ? or should I re-roll (though I might just quit at that point I guess, write now feeling disappointed and not really wanting to do all that work again)

my character is the same way. i have killed the traitor 20 times now in cruel mode

Ascent to Power quest still shows on main screen as not completed in Act 2 Cruel even though it is completed in quest list.
As far as I'm aware Djinn Barya gained in Cruel Acts does not contribute to ascendancy points.

I also have killed the traitor in cruel and my Ascent to Power Quest still says to travel to the traitor's passage. The map shows her as dead, but the quest looks like it is still active.

They won't be fixing that. Ascent to Power in Cruel won't be a thing once the rest of the campaign comes out. Don't worry about completing the quest.

Then how are our current characters supposed to advance their ascendancies?

Also, do you work with them directly? Are you actually speaking for them, or is that just what you think?

The ascendancies are not bugged. People are just doing it wrong. I've provided the solution in half a dozen threads already, a simple search will show you how. There are TONS of threads thinking this is a bug.

I don't work for them. But it makes no sense for them to spend time fixing a temporary thing. Once Acts 4-6 come out, this won't be a thing because Cruel difficulty will go away. With so many actual bugs to fix, this would be a horrible waste of time.

Quest marked as complete. But still asked me to investigate Traitor's passage..

Same here. ""Search Trators' passage" quest won't go away.
Unable to complete the Trial.

I am also having the same issue in cruel act 2. I've cleared the Traitor's Passage like 6 times and nothing.
