Exceptional item highlights - v0.9.119 - 6/09/2025

Exceptional items turned out to be more valuable than we anticipated. Hence, we're upgrading them from 'Gear Exceptions' to 'Highlights'.

- You can now choose to highlight 'Excellent' or 'Good' Exceptional Quality and Socketed gear. For now, they just use a minimum Quality and minimum Base Type Tier. In a future update, we might expand this to also include Item Level per slot.
- A Highlight was added for Exceptional Unique items. You can optionally additionally specify a minimum Quality. This only applies to 'Other' uniques -- Exceptional Excellent, Good, Potential or Drop-Restricted uniques are styled according to their tier style.

Note that you can still choose to just show these items rather than highlighting them, using the Change Style dialog.

Flask Exception Minimum Quality, Improved Chance Bases, other improvements - v0.9.120 - 7/09/2025

- You can now set a minimum Quality on your Flask Exceptions.
- You can now set a minimum Quality on 'Good' Exceptional Quality Gear, and a minimum Gear Tier on 'Good' Exceptional Socketed Gear.
- You can now specify a maximum size of Quality Salvaging Gear Exceptions.
- Better 'Wanted' Chance Base Tiering. Hard-coded Heavy Belt (Headhunter). Large items can no longer appear.
- Economy update.

hello there,

i have serval custom lootfilter made
, i made a post why my backgroundcolor for barya coins ain't work.
seems that all edits i do to barya coins and inscribed ultimatums in poe2filter.com custom tab, gets overwritten later on in the filter output under

Spoiler
#######################################################
##### Map Fragments
#######################################################

is there a way to have coins and ultimatums not overwrite my custom stuff in poe2filter settings maybe?

edit: also i can not made any custom entry for the trial of sekhemas bronze, silver and gold keys. would be nice to have them having an entry for Custom Cosmetic Rules

edit 2: i also like to know the hierachy of tabs;
when setting something shown or hidden under quickfilters, can i make it show with a 'Custom Cosmetic Rule' or a 'Custom Rule'.
so quickfilters, custom rules and cosmetic taps do they overrule each other in any way

edit: 3:

should i just uncheck continue?
i want have diffrent sizes, first two are trial entry currency of any level. the three bigger ones are specific area/item levels ie a very early barya coin of level 60-63, or 75-78

- Yes, if you take care yourself of all styling, beams, minimap icons etc, then you should disable 'Continue'. That means the the filter will just apply your Custom Cosmetic rule and ignore anything that comes after.

- In your case, you should then move the more specific rules (with specific item level filters) *before* the more common rules (without extra filters), so higher up. Higher up = higher precedence. The game would then first check for your more specific rules, if they match apply their style & stop; if not, look further down to your more generic rules. You can change the order of your existing rules by checking the 'Re-Order Rules' checkbox on the top-right corner of the Custom (Cosmetic) Rules list. Then you can drag & drop lines.

Regarding the order of the different tabs:
1. 'Free-Text' 'Insert At Top' Custom rules come first
2. Then Custom Cosmetic Rules
3. Then Custom Rules
4. Then Quick Filter Highlights
5. Then Quick Filter Exceptions
6. Then Quick Filter Filters

Please add new staves bases to the Tier Lists
"
Please add new staves bases to the Tier Lists

Which ones are still missing? They should definitely all be there. The Item Filter Information post mentions these:

Item class: Staves
Reaping Staff
Roaring Staff
Paralysing Staff
Sanctified Staff

Item class: Quarterstaves
Hefty Quarterstaff
Smooth Quarterstaff
Dreaming Quarterstaff

And they have all been added.

Any other staff you might find on https://poe2db.tw/us/Staves#StavesItem for example would be the base type for a unique. Those uniques are also taken into account; you can search them on the Uniques Tier List tab, and you'll find the base type in the 'Other Uniques' section of the actual filter output.

I'd be very interested to know if I missed any base type; would you mind listing the ones that are still missing?

Thanks for the explanation, I thought these were regular databases, not unique ones.
I need some help, my filter is hiding identified magic and (possibly rare identified items too) that are on my gear exceptions, it doesn't happen with unidentified items

My settings:

Helmets (arm/eva) > normal > expert (any) >ilvl 75

I tried changing some settings but i can't find a solution, i don't remember the filter doing this before, i didn't changed my filter in days so i don't know what is causing this, i don't think this was happening before

For example, the item that i don't want to hide is an expert tier, arm/eva helmet, magic (2 affixes), identified and ilvl 79

Do you specifically want it to show those identified items, or are you just using identified items to test?

Indeed, in the latest version, I made a change so that the Gear Exceptions only apply to unidentified items, so that they would not take precedence over the identified item rules, which typically have higher-tier highlights.

It's the first line on the latest release notes:

"Fixed a bug where regular Gear Exceptions would override the Identified Item Style Override. Regular Gear Exceptions rules now only apply to unidentified items."

Your use case is to really show all identified gear exceptions which would drop from strongboxes with identified items?

Makes sense. I'll think of a better solution. I think I'm going to have to split up the rules for the highlights (for exceptional & tiered rare) and normal exceptions.
