Ascendancy Trials Feedback: Understanding Player Concerns

I really miss Izario.
That so unjoyful as it is now.
Please, I'm begging you.

Just remove the honor system.

I beat the first Sek yesterday because I GOT LUCKY with two honor restoring shrines. I was a level 33 warrior so I'd been beating my head against the trials for ELEVEN levels. After the first couple of tries, I never once had my health go below 50%. It was always honor that made me fail. When I finally won? It wasn't an achievement, it was RNG. The win wasn't mine. There wasn't an "F**K YES!" celebration, there was instead a never again.
GGG why u make this error!
Bump. Well written criticism of the single deepest flaw in the game.
I would have never thought saying this but i would rather izaro than this and i hated poe1 lab with passion.

3 floors as melee in sanctum (cruel) just to die to a bs scorpion i literally quit until this is changed.

+1 Agree with just about everything you said.

To be honest, as someone who played PoE1 since 2013 but never really did much to engage with the community beyond trading, I had no idea that it was as disliked as it apparently was. To me it was just, part of character progression. You did it once, you knew what to expect every subsequent time you'd do it. At most you just had to deal with a different layout.

I enjoyed it, honestly. I wouldn't do it continually as an endgame pillar or anything, but it wasn't a negative in my mind. It was just, like you said, part of the game. A step on your way to maxing your character.

And now I miss it dreadfully. I'd give anything to hear Izaro say WHERE DERES A SILVA KEY DERE MUST BE A SILVA DOOR in POE2 instead of the obnoxious unfitting post-room quips of this stupid fucking Djinn of ours.
Right to the heart. This is exactly what is spinning in my head, but Right to the heart. This is exactly what is spinning in my head, but it was so difficult to formulate!

I am on the same page.

I was never bothered by Lab, it was just one other thing to take care of while progressing and while it could be somewhat difficult with certain characters it was never annoying to a degree that I would despise it.

These new trials on the other hand ...

Yeah, that's another thing. On top of the gatekeeping difficulty, the design from the Lab compared to the design of these modern day fast food league mechanics. It is just plain bad compared to a main villain like Itzaro.

I know it's still EA. Game is only 80%(lol 30%) there.
People didn't like trials in PoE1 because they were LONG.

People don't like trials in Poe2 because they are LONG and also MAY BE LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOUR BUILD.

The first is just whatever, the second is frustration.

All you needed to do was make a SHORTER lab.

You know, kinda like HEIST - which didn't have build bricking stuff but was short.
