OP can you please just make a build sheet using Maxroll or mobalytics and post URL in your guide.. the layout of this is horrendous.. but the build is dope!!!!

the layout is fine, I like it, it's a great layout, possibly the best
I will say that pre-Wildshards, definitely not deleting the boss HP bar quite like that.

But the strategy is pretty much the same.

Lay down Sigil of Power, throw out fire walls, hardcast Ice Wall (Ice Orb for exposure too if you can) and then throw out scattershot unleash Fireballs. I do about 15% in the opening, 20% if the opening salvo freezes them and I can keep whacking them.

Cast on Freeze Ice Wall as well, so that you don't have to hard cast when you freeze them and can just hurl damage into their brains.

Can probably Mana Tempest the opening too, but first time through so I don't know the bosses well enough to work it in to most fights.

Just killed Act 3's
Spoiler
The Viper
on my third attempt, I see a lot of people requesting help for that one so I figure it must be reasonably tough.

I bought a +2 Fire Wand at the end of Act 2 (Wasn't high enough level for higher rolls on wand, and I needed a focus for def stats), and a couple bosses back I bought a +4 one which made a big difference.

Hoping that Support 3's start dropping for me soon, I'm really looking forward to extra shenanigans.

That's a good question. Basically, it's a one shot ability to massively buff a full 2 charge unleash and maybe one followup cast.

So, you drop tempest, unleash fireball, cast one more time, then walk out. You use it to blow up the screen, or against a rare. I don't recommend sitting in it and spamming, because yes you will oom instantly.

This gives you a huge damage boost that is added onto all the proliferating projectiles from that full unleash.

If you drop tempest + sigil of power together, the effect is amplified massively. This is how you do a 'boss melt' with one fireball (if you get lucky). Or a huge chunk if you dont fish a wildshard proc, with ice walls placed around them.

Ah, okay. Yeah, that strategy makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the reply.
Excellent writeup and very well done with the beautiful formatting. Hopefully, nothing gets nerfed before I get to try this build.
What are your thoughts on using Rising Tempest instead of energy barrier or arcane surge? Worth it or no?

Personally I'm finding it very satisfying against (most) bosses, and I'm most of the way through Act 3 normal.

Have you picked up a decent wand/staff? I'm also assuming you have the unique gloves? Those are basically mandatory, IMO.

Definitely need a decent +Fire Gems weapon to keep the DPS up. There are probably better builds for boss killing, so it might also feel atrocious compared to other builds you've played rather than being specifically bad yourself. First build for me so I can't really say.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I have the gloves, but nothing else is good on my gear. I could not find any decent wand (only 1+ spell). And I used my only two Exalted orbs on the gloves and did not find any more since, so cannot trade anything.

You can't just shoot fireballs at bosses starting out. You need to drop some frost walls around them or deliberately position yourself to take advantage of unleash+wildshards. Usually this means sitting right underneath or on top of them and casting. You will know you did it right when 1/4th or more of their health bar drains in a split second.

Thanks. That's what I am doing, but wildshards is T3 and I do not yet have it.

Level 80 max ES no MoM:click

this build has no points in the "fire 2 additional projectiles", is that on purpose? I thought I read in the guide you explained how those nodes are huge damage increases, but I could be wrong?

I think its an interesting idea, I'm not quite sure if trigger spells count for it, but it would be a free 24% more if so. Give it a shot and if it feels good use it.

Place frost walls around the boss and then shoot fireballs at them. That should give you nice chunky damage. Use comet and other spells as needed. Use ember fusilade in between unleash buildups.

The campaign is a bit of a clusterfk and you just need to figure out what works for you.

the core build is the build, the variants are just thinks you can branch off and do with it

max ES would probably be leading into CI, and I dont think you can spare the projectile nodes as CI, you really just need every ES node in reach
