0.1.0d Patch Notes
CoF were good vs packs and Ok at best vs bosses compared to many other builds. But most of all, it was SUPER FUN, felt like a proper hack and slash caster. Meanwhile deadeye lightning rod is getting a nerf, but running through tier 14 waystones in the blink of an eye.
And then there is CoF, which literally cant play the game anymore. |

Please fix aftershocks doing no damage on rolling slam. And armor breaking not working on leapslam. Titan got a few bugs. |

Fun thought just came to mind. The smooth brains thinking CoX was broken clearly never played POE1 during the Rainbow Nuke days. Now THAT was an OP build... Granted it was also WILDLY expensive to build correctly with Mjioner before it got trashed along with the entire build lol
And for the folks that have zero clue to what rainbow nuke was go search for it on Youtube and see what true power was.... Toss a Chaos to your Leader

Like many of the other posts, not happy, but also confused and not really sure where this leaves us.
CoF been nerfed to the point where you can't clear well enough to get through doorways now, get maybe 2-3 comets up to a boss, clear reduced by 90%. Boss DPS very slightly better but if you can't effectively get to the boss then what's the point in playing the build anyway? Also, I have no issue with changing something like this, but what is there to fall back on? As another player said, there's a reason people went on to use CoF for spells. Imagine self-casting comets with the cast speed they have? Don't want to have to reroll just to continue playing the game but as others are saying, a full respec could set you back 500k gold, even a partial respec will use up everything you have collected so far. That's not even getting into time or gear investments etc. I will try to find a way around it but if I can't then I likely won't bother continuing to play. It's a real kick in the teeth. |

Rip 90 percent nerf? I mean why? did the game make enough money? so time to say cya? lol cast on * was key to many build. I would understand if it 50 percent and if there are are more classes and options but we are limited currently. Also there are so many broken things why was this prioritize. Not even a refund or a free respect, knowing we had to respect after this? really this how GGG plays? lol

Trigger gems used to be cool, they're not as cool any longer. I just cleared Cruel Mausoleum of the Praetor.
Using Arc and lightning Elemental storm to fuel a Cast on Shock with Comet. On the way to the Boss Comet triggered just once. Some half dead skeleton got blasted into tiny bits. The Comet did trigger a few times during the Boss Fight. So at least I have that. Rock is overpowered, paper is fine. Scissor.

I am not effected by the changes in this patch to my early builds on multiple characters I am trying out. However I am concerned that as I spend more time playing in early access that I may not have the gold to pay for re-specs when the next big change does effect me.
I understand why you will want to "fix" things effecting gameplay and difficulty rapidly during early access but in view of this I do not understand the large gold requirements to re-spec a build especially in the "beta" stage. What is the gameplay theory that enhances the game for players to have these costs for changing passives? All I can tell from playing and the feedback in this thread is that it is actively putting players off from playing the game esp deeper into builds on 1 character. Love the combat in the game keep up the good work! Thanks :) |
