can u please nerf a bit trial of chaos its super hard to do last ascendacy for melee. and buff warbringer pls
I am loving the game so far. We all said there'd be bunches of broken stuff and stuff not balanced and this is only with half the content in. If you don't think changes of this magnitude are going to be a regular occurrence in the course of this "Early Access" period, I think you haven't really understood what this is going to be like.

I've seen some constructive criticism for how the changes to CoF and others has brought them from overpowered to unplayable. That is a helpful comment that could lead to future changes. If you think this change is the final state of trigger gems, you're kidding yourself. They will probably be rebalanced many times more especially as the other half of skills and ascendencies enter the game and new interactions are discovered.

I was a part of the BG3 Early Access that lasted a long time. There came a point where I didn't want to keep playing with all the changes it was making, so I checked out until release and was completely happy with the result. Won't be surprised if I eventually do that here.

Hundreds of more "builds" will be bricked in the course of this EA. It can be a frustrating experience, but the devs should come out and say that this is how EA has to be. I'm OK if they want to give out some respecs, but trying new characters has been a fun part of the experience for me, so I'm fine dropping my CoF witch for a while and leveling a different character. Still thousands of other things to explore and combinations to find. And can't wait for more weapons and classes to be added to multiply the possibilities.

If you keep playing all the way through EA, this won't be the last time you have a build bricked. Either adapt the character or try something else is what I'd suggest. And as I said, choosing to wait until 1.0 to not have to deal with this kind of upheaval at any moment is also a perfectly fair take and honestly is probably something I'll do at some point, but I'm still very much enjoying the exploration right now.

Just want to say I used to play world of warcraft. I remember when blizzard "nerfed" focused rage by doubling the cost from 30 to 60 rage, effectively removing it from the game. 2x nerf. CoS procs 10x less now. Why not remove it from game?
I think most of the people who complain about others criticizing the nerf of CoX don't understand, or don't want to understand, the real point. The issue isn't the nerf; it's about time.

Time is the most valuable resource most people have and it's a very limited one. We invested time into building these builds. (Personally, I came up with this build myself blindly (though it doesn’t take a genius to realize that once you get the gems for CoX, you have to use them)).

And time is what was butchered with this patch. Not everyone has the time to farm gold to respec or grind a new character.

It's a matter of respecting other people’s time, especially the time of those who trusted you, supported you, and financially believed in you.

Simply give us free respecs. Simply give back something to us, the real supporters.

The game is great, but at this stage, it does not respect its most valuable supporters' time. And that's a shame.
Je suis déçu de la tournure du nerf, ça pas de sens de ne pas rembourser les passives.

Come on guys do something.
I completely agree with lower respec costs. That being said, free respecs for major balancing patches is complicated territory. Who decides if it’s a big or small change? Every patch will change some abilities on some level, so free respecs happening every single patch would be wildly absurd. This was definitely an overturned change, and the holiday making it so it won’t be fixed anytime soon makes that worse.

I do agree that it was very much overpowered, but I also think it was overnerfed. There needs to be a middle ground. I’m loving the game but I definitely will find myself not playing as devoutly now as I will at the full release, simply due to so much changing between now and then.

Have people never actually been on steam before?

Here, let me show you something

Friendly Reminder that Early Access and Beta Test are NOT SYNONYMOUS.
Paying $20 extra for a FULL RELEASE game to play it 3 days earlier, is "Early Access."
A 6 month long "testing" period is a Beta Test.

Please stop hiding behind the "It's Early Access!" excuse.

And also, Early Access isn't an excuse to not respect the time and effort of your players with no recompense... But I digress. Cheaper Respec Costs would literally make this a non-issue. If they want us to test things out and try out different stuff so that they can identify these "overperforming outliers" then LET US TEST. Restricting that with Respec Costs that get pretty expensive in the end-game isn't beneficial for testing.
