What are the decisions behind destroying all the crafting systems in the past 10 years?
i'm still searching for the orbs of alteration.

It’s really hard to make the crafting as intricate as it was in PoE1 and work 100% with a controller. Welcome to PoE console version.

Atleast some costly scouering so you can from time to timr start over.

" They need design space for in future leagues start adding stuff. They cannot brign EVERYTHIGN back at the very start.. |

I think GGG are bitter at their player base for speedrunning POE content, and the POE2 design choices are 1 part an attempt to slow down player progression, but 2nd part bitterness and spiteful devs just punishing players.
Particularly the devs bricking all the Cast on X builds and refusing to give out free respecs just seems like petty revenge to me. It's pathetic behaviour by game developers. |

I think that they left it simple now so that they can build on it once new players get a taste of the systems. PoE is a convoluted mess, and they want new players trying PoE 2. They'll expand on things later.
I'm really enjoying the game, but it does have issues. Waypoint sustain is awful. Magic find gear needs to be put in the grave where it should have gone and stayed 25 years ago. Leech resist was a straight up dumb idea. Most of the rest is good or at least mid. | |
we need Last epoch crafting system. is so good. also crafting materials are autopick, why not have autopick up in poe 2? we dont live in D2 time.

" Trust me. They don't care about YOU. They needed to address an issue and the quick solution is to turn it off rather than rewire it. So its off, its also EA so they are doing their jobs. |

almost all the crafting systems in POE 1 came from leagues.
I think its pretty much guaranteed new poe 2 leagues will have new ways to craft. Last edited by OniJihn#0420 on Dec 13, 2024, 11:45:30 AM
