if the trigger doesn't cause minions, what good is it then?
Yesterday i had SRS loop and used 6 other buttons to at least being able to deal damage.
Today i have no SRS loop and have to use 1 button to manually SRS.

Is this nerf intended to make me press only 1 button instead of 6? Other classes benefit from combining passives and oneshotting everything, i benefit from minions being automatic whic frees my hands in casting other abilities.
When doing math in calculating minion's damage, dont forget that their damage is not lifetime*dps, they actually have animations like spawning animation, walking to the target, attack animation. Minions have <100% uptime on boss, minions can die early, minions can get stuck, minions take space so they cannot attack all at once.

When i use skill, my dps is either 100% of skill damage or 0% if i missed (more complex if it's a zone or DoT which i need to maintain).

Let me automate my minions so i can actually play the game (e.g. cast spells), not spawn useless chunks of sheetshow circus which is dead by the time they walk over to boss over poison/blood/fire zone before i have level 100 and full resists maxed out on them. I love playing summoner not because it automates my gameplay by making everything die around me - that's actually what sorcerers and monks do - but i want to see skeletal army in my wake. When i saw "respawn" mechanic in the game for skeletons, i thought it was a viable option to let me spam summon less and use actual spells more, but i guess spamming summon skills is a must.
Why not do SRS a manual skill then, like in poe1? At least it would take 1 less gem slot in your build.

TL;DR please revert SRS Loop, let me cast other spells instead of flamewall spam.

100% this. This change makes the build infinitely less fun. Having a "blast" now having to rotate my lvl 1 flamewall gem. GG

This has been the case for most hotfixes since launch.

You are not allowed dumb fun in PoE2.
Making gemling even more useless. Guess what gem quality effects if you don't know its how many is spawned. Lord I regret rolling gemling. It was designed so poorly to work with how everything works. Like 1 skill lvl is a joke when you can get 3 to 4 on items. And people crying about there classes. Gemling must unless pos and horribly designed. Only thing they have good is duplicate supports.
Paid 60 bucks for this and you patch the fun out of this?

The F in POE2 stands for FUN,
thats why i quitted Infernalist at 40 and rerolled Merc.
You know what other game decided to keep nerfing over buffing due to some sense of wanting to make it grueling in difficulty? Helldivers 2 and its playerbase fell off a cliff because of it. Try and learn from those who made the same mistakes you are making.
Finally, 5/6 in my group were playing SRS easy mode. Another cheese build fixed.
