POE2 - Unable to Complete "Ascent to Power" in Cruel Difficulty

Ignore the quest. It doesn't matter. For your third points, you need to get the correct level djinn barya or ultimatum as mentioned. This is NOT a guaranteed drop. It's RNG or you can buy it off people. It's also 1 use, unlike the quest ones.

The area level of the Sekhema waypoint does NOT matter. The part that seems to be confusing tons of people is that you do NOT get to ascend from just beating the Rock Golem boss at the end of the floor. 3 floors means you need to clear 3 floors to ascend. A floor is NOT a room, those are 2 different things.

After you beat the rock golem and get to the room with the ascend statue, that statue will NOT work because that is the end of the FIRST floor. In that room, there is a silver door that will open when you click on it if your djinn barya has more floors. This is how you get to the 2nd floor. You need to continue until you kill the boss of the THIRD floor. The statue after THAT boss will allow you to get your 5th and 6th points.

They really should pin something for this because tons of people seem to not understand how this works and think the game is bugged. There is no fix coming because it works fine. I've personally gotten all 8 ascendancy points.

I don't believe everyone thinks that this is bugged because they don't know about the multiple flora, although many may be. The confusion and apparent bugginess is because of the way that the quest shows up and cannot be cleared and the trial only exists in the previous act 2, where once you portal to the trial area the player immediately is given a message saying that they need to travel to Cruel Difficulty. This is unclear and most certainly bugged / needs further development before launch.

All of the previous info regarding clearing is correct.

The reason it's bugged that way and why it won't be fixed for launch is because the campaign originally had 6 acts. They stopped cold turkey on developing the campaign and hastily stitched in a "Cruel" difficulty for now. This won't be a problem on launch because there will no longer be a Cruel difficulty.

Im baffled that they have not locked down this post yet ans attempted to state they are fixing this. This is a top issue! Same thing happened to me!

I've beat her a dozen times over now on cruel and I'm still getting no drop. Don't know what's going on but it's annoying.
