Finally uninstalled PoE2... the wave of relief is crazy!

I never played poe1…why is most of the hate coming from poe1 players?

I'd suspect because PoE1 players are who carried GGG to the point they can make PoE2 and a lot of PoE1 players feel GGG crapped on them with PoE2. For the most part they are correct. As a successor to PoE1 this game misses the mark by a lot. Does that mean it's a bad game? Opinions are what they are.

Baldurs Gate 3 was in no way a true successor to BG2/1, and at launch (Early Access) it was horrible in many ways. Larian worked and fixed it and todays game doesn't even resemble, from a companion and game play standpoint not graphics and such standpoint, the Early Access version. Much like PoE1 doesn't now resemble the game that started a decade ago with only three acts as well.

Exactly, and it's a lack of respect to PoE1 players to tell them 'You don't like the 2? Go back to the 1" when we have literally funded the development of a PoE2 that wasnt even directed at us.

With this "PoE for casuals/dummies", i'm curious to see how all these new players will support PoE2 for years like PoE1 players did with PoE1 for more than 10 years...

Maybe the fact that as of March 25, the game and company GGG is 100% owned by SIXJOY HONG KONG LIMITED, a subsidiary of Tencent and that former owners Christopher W., Jonathan R., and Erik O. have sold all their shares to SIXJOY are a major role in this PoE2...

i felt like that when i uninstalled wow. i came back 10 months later tho ;) i'm weak.
GGG is listening to feedback with a patch addressing things people are having issues with during early access. So much drama over the testing phase. They have earned many people's trust from POE 1. Give them a chance to iron stuff out. If you don't have patience to see things evolve, then it's good you're off the game with all that negativity, OP.

Why do they have to make an announcement out of it like in an airport?

Because we paid money and feel ripped off...
