I merged my accounts and lost all my characters for poe2 please help

Lost all characters? Do you mean on the website? because can't see them on the website yet.

Are you trying to launch the game using the standalone or the Steam version?

Both accounts I had were on the Xbox series x I made a new account for POE2 and so I couldn't chat in game without verifying account so I went online to the website verify the account and I merged my two accounts and when I did it deleted all my characters on POE2 Am I save data it's making me start over fresh

Today, when I opened the game client on PS, I found that the character data I had created before was lost. I suspect that the reason is that when I was playing the game on PS and reached the Ascension mission, I always encountered bugs which made the game crash and it couldn't load to enter the instance. Later, I tried to register a PC client account on the official website and bound the two accounts together. I wanted to use the PC client to complete the instance mission, but I found that I still couldn't log in to the PC client. Finally, when I logged back into the PS client, I discovered the above problem that "the character data created on PS before was lost and the game asked me to create a character again".

Does anyone have a way to help me restore the character data on the PS client? Thank you. And if the original poster has a good solution, could you please remind me by email to check the solution on the forum? Thank you.

The problem is if you already have an account on Steam/PS or Xbox. Why you guys are creating a new account on POE.com?

For example the process before to have a standalone account so an account with email/password for people using the Steam login method at first was:

Next, you can add an email address through Manage account -> Change Email: https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account/change-email

Once you've done this, you should be able to log into the stand-alone client using your email address and password.

If you didn't follow the steps and you have an account where you login using Steam and you create another account where you login using email/password, these 2 accounts end up separated.

I'm not using steam And like I said I only use the Xbox series x for both POE1 and POE2 when I got the POE2 download it never recognize my account so I made a new one All on Xbox then it said I couldn't chat in POE2 without verifying my account I couldn't verify my account because my email was already linked to another account that I had so I merged them and then lost all the data for the previous account but the previous account is still online I can switch between the two accounts I just lost all of my saved progress for POE 2
