Damage skills is based on what weapon you use, pls make it that it is based on the type of dmg a weapon have to make it easy to build the way you want and use skills other then the ones that is class based.
Becouse physical spells do more dmg with staff with cold dmg then with a mace with add physical dmg. Last edited by Gloiler#6316 on Dec 12, 2024, 3:21:32 PM

Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with my character in Path of Exile 2 after the recent update. My character is a Level 42 Sorceress named Bahiya, currently in the Ziggurat Encampment within the Standard League (as shown in the attached screenshot). The problem is that I cannot see the NPC Alva, and because of this, I am unable to complete my quest and progress further in the game. Specifically, I have completed the “PoE 2 Act 3: Jiquani’s Sanctum Turn Mechanism” quest multiple times, but Alva disappears after the boss encounter. She does not reappear in the town afterward, leaving my character stuck and unable to move forward in the story. This has been a recurring issue for the last two days, and it has severely impacted my gameplay experience. Could you please investigate and resolve this issue so that I can continue enjoying the game without interruptions? Thank you for your assistance! dharmallama#8325 |

### Path of Exile 2: Early Access Feedback Summary
#### Personal Experience - **Path of Exile 1 Journey**: - Played nearly 2,000 hours in PoE1, but the first 100–300 hours were rough until I started following guides. This shift opened my eyes to how incredible the game was. - The depth of crafting, build options, and progression in PoE1 became a major draw for me, but only after overcoming the initial steep learning curve. - **Excitement for PoE2**: - Ever since PoE2’s announcement, I’ve eagerly anticipated its release. I even took time off work each time a release date was announced to dive in on day one. - On launch day, I chose to play a Witch and immediately felt like I was in a new and different game. While it didn’t feel bad, it was strange to adapt to the new systems without the familiarity or support of guides. - **Day 1**: - Reached level 22, completed Act 1, and started Act 2 before calling it a day. Progression felt slow and challenging without a guide, but I was determined to learn the game organically. - My experience in the current PoE1 league gave me confidence—I had built a mid-tier character that reached T10–15 maps, so I assumed I could adapt and overcome challenges in PoE2. - **Day 2**: - Progressed to level 30 but hit a wall as mobs aggroed too quickly, leaving no time to set up strategies. I found myself running more than fighting. - Tried to play self-sufficiently, relying only on what I picked up, but struggled to find decent gear or build defenses. - **Day 3**: - Reached level 34 but felt stuck. Gear with resistances was scarce, and crafting rarely yielded anything useful. Every hit felt like a death sentence, which made progression frustrating. - Despite feeling salty, I resolved to push forward, determined not to let the setbacks kill my enthusiasm. - **Day 4**: - Managed to respec my character and bought some gear from the market, which drastically improved my damage. Pushed to level 50 and started Cruelty acts, but another wall loomed as I lacked currency and gear upgrades to keep up. - Farming felt like a grind, with diminishing returns as I wasn’t high enough level to equip meaningful upgrades. - **Day 5**: - Dedicated a 13-hour session to leveling my character, reaching level 54, but still felt defeated. Without significant progress in defenses or resistances, every encounter remained punishing. - **Day 6**: - Finally reached level 60 and equipped better gear. My damage improved, but my defenses remained inadequate. Despite having over 1,500 HP and 1,000 Energy Shield, I was frequently one- or two-shot by enemies. - Adjusted my spec to prioritize life regeneration over energy shield, which helped slightly, but I still couldn’t handle sustained engagements. - **Day 7**: - At nearly 80 hours of gameplay, I completed the campaign but felt the grind and difficulty were disproportionate. Maps introduced new frustrations—terrain issues and overwhelming hordes made progression feel more like dodging than fighting. - The campaign took over 70 hours to complete, and while I love the challenge, it was disheartening that even with my experience from PoE1, progression felt so grueling. - **New Character Attempt**: - Started fresh with a new character, leveraging what I learned. Act 3 took about 10 hours, significantly faster than my first attempt, but much of the improvement was due to having currency to gear up as I went. #### Key Pain Points 1. **Difficulty Curve**: - Mobs aggro too quickly, leaving little room to strategize. Progression often feels like running away instead of engaging in fights. - Hordes of mobs are more punishing than boss fights, making encounters feel unbalanced. 2. **Gear and Currency**: - Drops often feel underwhelming, with very few usable items. - Market items are prohibitively expensive (e.g., a Greater Jeweler’s Orb costs 18 exalted, and high-tier items go for 100s of exalted). - Resistance capping wasn’t achievable until level 64, leaving me extremely vulnerable for most of the campaign. 3. **Build Flexibility**: - Respec costs are too high, locking characters into suboptimal builds unless significant farming is done. - Characters feel “bricked” when progression stalls, forcing players to either start over or grind excessively. 4. **Blood Mage Ascendancy**: - The “spend life as mana” mechanic is unbalanced. Life regen and leech can’t keep up, making it unsustainable for most builds. #### Suggestions for Improvement 1. **Increase Defenses**: - Buff defensive stats on gear and ensure resistance capping is achievable earlier in the game. - Adjust balance so that players don’t feel one- or two-shot consistently, even with decent gear. 2. **Increase Currency Availability**: - Drop rates and currency scaling need adjustment to better support progression and allow for market participation. 3. **Respec Costs**: - Allow free respecs up to level 60–70 to encourage build experimentation and help new players. 4. **Blood Mage Rework**: - Reduce the life-cost penalty or increase the effectiveness of life regen/leech to make the ascendancy viable. #### Final Thoughts - **Enjoyment**: The game is incredibly fun, with deep mechanics and engaging combat, but the steep difficulty curve and grind can be discouraging, even for experienced players. - **Feedback for GGG**: Early access shows great promise, but tuning is needed to maintain player retention. Addressing the difficulty curve, itemization, and build flexibility will significantly enhance the experience. **Looking forward to seeing Path of Exile 2 grow and improve over time!** |

The ascendancy trial with the jobour system is really frustrating. I’m level 22 and almost killed him 3 times and died because his volcanoes hit me towards the end. Since he has 12 active at a time at the end!!!!! So I just stopped playing for the night. I know I could get more damage but I do good damage and I can do it. He almost keeps dying. But I just get screwed at the end and now I guess I’m continue the story and come back a few levels later and even if he dies faster. I gotta hope I don’t get hit or get dumb debuffs from the floors before.IM MOT EVEN DYING. Typically I have maybe half health when I’m doing bad. I think this needs to change. Why is this a thing? This was on my mercenary by the way. He won’t show up as an option on my profile here on the forums. Since the witch with minions does bad damage cause they have terrible health

I've had similar issues with mouse and skills having a delay or being ignored . It is one thing I picked up on right away. It took away that flow of combat . I hope this can be addressed!

Could we make the maps a little more forgiving? Either lower the chaos mob spawn or let us attempt a map more than once =/. Game is great, campaign was fun, end game doesnt feel good.

" I'm not so sure it's an error, a few weapons have added attribute types that aren't normally a part of their class. For all of these I looked at the passive trees and searched for nodes for the weapon types, and selected the weapon in the more info screen to see the readup which includes the weapons attribute type(s). For instance, axes and spears are now Str/Dex weapons even though they are associated with the Marauder and Huntress respectively. Now naturally this is Early Access and these weapons aren't in the game yet, just some nodes and descriptions for the weapon type, but it is interesting when paired with what scepters are at the moment. |

I miss the stat and buff displays above bosses in Path of Exile. I often overlooked this helpful feature and now miss it in Path of Exile 2. This item has even tempted me to revisit Path of Exile, though I'm still focused on improving my skills in Path of Exile 2. Its only been 2 weeks.
