Zalmarath, The Colossus glitchy one shot (HC experience ruined)

The character dies if it hits the edge of the platform, when it counts as "falling off the platform", and therefore sets the character state to dead. This happens when one of the attacks pushes the character towards the edge, even if just one pixel hits the edge, it counts as instant death.

I don't know if this is working as intended or not, but a reasonable change would be adding an animation where the playable character actually flies off the edge if it is intended to count as an instant death mechanic.
Ok for anyone on this, I just found the best way to deal with it... stay close to his left hand, just constantly hug close to him by that hand. He will do the top down stab thing, but its pretty easy to tank. If you stay close and burst him down he wont do the knife push thing. Glss
gggg hardcore is unplayable until this is fixed
(I've replicated this post in both major Colossus/Zalmarath one-shot threads with the hope that it will save someone's character)

Hi, I spent a few hours on softcore exploring this boss, and found certain spots in different phases of the boss where I didn't get a single "one shot" totaling for 40+ minutes. This method has been tried by at least a dozen people, and so far no one has reported dying under all conditions in the video description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqO3i0cxMdg

instruction, for ranged builds only:
[duration of each phase may vary, timecodes are indicated according to what is happening in the video]

0:00 — 1:29 initial phase: stand at the top (if you visualize the arena as a dial, we stand at 12 o'clock) and ignore the first wave of drop lightning. Note: sometimes he can move you with his hand to center of the location - don't panic, just hurry back to the your point
1:30 — 2:33 phase 1: during the wave of drop lightning we move to the left edge of the stairs (at 8 o'clock), the boss stands on top (at 12 o'clock).
2:34 — 3:36 phase 2: after part of the arena collapsed, during the drop lightning wave, go to the right edge of the stairs (at 7 o'clock), the boss is on the right (at 3 o'clock).
3:37 – endless then phases 1 and 2 are repeated: if the boss is on top, we stand at the left edge of the stairs, if the boss is on the right, we stand at the right edge of the stairs. And don't forget to kill any incoming mobs.


if you have used each spot during corresponding boss phase and got a "one shot" from the Colossus/Zalmarath — feel free to report/scold me and my video.

That's just not true, I've experienced this bug while standing (and dying) in the literal middle of arena - far from any edges.
