Why in the HELL is the Siphon Mana ring on monsters in this game?!
Good grief. Have ANY of you entitled gamers even played D2? POE is a love letter to that game. D2 has been popular for DECADES for a reason.
In D2, there are mechanics for immunities to EVERYTHING. Melee runs into physical immunes, Sorcs run into elemental immunes etc. Sometimes a random modifier combination on a unique makes them un-killable. It was part of what made that game endure, because the struggle is what makes gaming memorable. So here we are, with a scenario where your character may have to run away or adjust their abilities. Whine whine whine. |

Magma barrier is far worse.
Triples the mobs hp and then a limited 5 second window to damage it before the triple hp comes back. God help u if its neccesary to kill like in a trial or something One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

yeah i literraly cannot kill the man siphom, i have to run away and sometime don't make it
Magma are tanky AF but i can deal with that |

" I have no idea why you think those d2 mechanics were good. They were outdated garbage game design then and even worse now when they should have learned from that. One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

" that was before 'gamer democracy'. have you seen what they've done to d2 with d2r? |
|
Immunities were added later in D2, and they weren't popular.
|
|
" but they were not removed either |

Archnemesis bad

Given the multiple mana management problems I have as an attack-based build, if the keystone was closer to my side of the tree (ranger), I would 100% take blood magic every time.

" Except that in D2 you didn't have things like trials ect that take 30 minutes to complete and then you fail it because the requirement is to kill an unkillable mob. The immunities didn't make D2 the good game it is, that would be itemisation and skill builds. The entire immune mechanic was cheesed out of most of the time by relogging, if you ran into lightning immune on a lightning sorc or Javazon you either just ignored it. |
