POE2 on console please let us have fun too. Fix controller settings

Came here looking (hoping) for a solution but alas, same issue. Even when 1-on-1 with a boss, aiming is just shyte :(

It's sooooo bad man. Controller with auto aim on: in between targets, your character just aims at the wall and fires and you have to wait for an animation to end before it figures out there's another target. There's a REALLY HUGE gap in the latency when switching between enemies.

Turn auto aim off and you will only be able to aim accurately with shoulder button mapped skills because you have to remove your thumb from the joystick to press skill buttons.

This is really creating a mixed experience.

That and being forced to trade on a separate device, I'm gonna stay to check out maps then I'm not playing anymore or spending money again until there's an auction house or some other more streamlined solution like an app. And I've spent my fair share on GGG over the years, not as much as some whales have but my money counts too.
100% agreed. Aiming using the controller is terrible and very frustrating. It's not accurate at all. It's 90% reason I die all the time. I'm really trying very hard to like it but the aim has to get better. Loot drop for weapons that is rare and higher for your specific class are very very very low. I almost buy mine from vendors.
Before the latest patch you could kinda work with it (playing a merc, PC with controller).

But as of the most recent patch 0.1.0e this has gotten INSANE for me too. I literally need to touch the edge of the right stick to have it register any input at all.

And the left stick and right stick deadzones are completely different. The option slider doesn't do anything either
What the OP is saying is there is no FREE AIM. That is, use the left joystick to aim and your spell/ability goes go in that direction. This doesn't exist.

Instead, we get two options: (1) DYNAMIC AIMING (default); (2) FOCUS FIRE
You can toggle between these two options by binding a key to it on your spell binds screen.

Both of the options are unacceptable for certain classes, such as witches -- where i need to aim at corpses with "Unearth" spell, yet the auto aim will prioritize mobs that are alive.

This is unplayable for me as it is because of this. Debating just leaving until they implement it or re-rolling completely...
PS5 player here and my god, this is so frustrating. I've lost the Trial of Sekhemas three times because my character is auto-targetting some random enemy rather than selecting what I'm trying to target. I'll have a pack of enemies baring down on me and I throw out and ability to try and debuff the front of the pack and it targets the farthest enemy in the back. Like, am I missing something? If there some setting I can change or is this just how it is right now?

Seriously, I've been loving this game so far, but now that I'm at the start of end game and I need to be more precise, it's started to get immensely frustrating.
