This has been my experience since the "fix." I no longer experience full system freezes in load screens, but from random other functions of gameplay like speaking to a vendor, opening the world map, or entering my stash.

Confirming, same here
No freezes so far until today at Ogham Village
Just hard crashed my entire PC from POE 1 loading screen. Please just push out a fix asap. This is insane.
Issue remains on 24H2 w/Path of Exile 2, full crash resulting in a hard reset. Stay far away.
First time playing poe after poe2 EA launch and poe1 is crashing like there is no tomorrow:D This never happened to me before- poe1 was running without any problems..
WTF is happening??? Is my nearly new pc bricked?
This is not 24H2 issue i can confirm i just installed a new fresh windows 11 23h2 and still random restarts while loading maps,i had 5-6 restarts in a row during the last 20 mins this is unfair and annoying i just unistalled the game will be back when they fix this.
gl.
My pc just shutsdown when u i try to play the game, its been going like this for weeks now, but not it started more frequently, i cant even get in the game, nothing i did worked to fix it.

Trash game?
try to solve your problems : I know that application: Game Bar was responsible for a lot of problems, I also had a frozen screen and had to hard restart.

aplication Game bar = Try Turn off and good luck :)

had problem with screen going off after about 10 mins of playing(and only way was restarting pc after this), solved by doing file integrity check at steam(it found one bad file). Now played one hour without problems
I found something from a reddit user which seemed to work and it's much simpler than I thought. Of course you have to do all the fixes / corrections first, I've played 4 hours over the course of last night and this morning not a single crash yet, fingers crossed... I typically crash randomly anywhere every 30 minutes like clockwork was super annoying especially if trying to clear Pinnacle Boss or breach farming.

---System---
i7 12700k, RTX2070 (driver version 566.03) , 32GB RAM, Win 11 fully updated

---Steps---
1. On Steam > verify integrity of game files
2. Delete POE2 shader cache files
3. Nvidia settings changes below

---Nvidia Settings---
Most are default some key highlights that worked for me:

- Power management mode = Optimal power
- Shader Cache Size = 10GB (because C drive has less than 40GB free)
- Texture Filtering Quality = High Performance
- Triple Buffering = On

---In-game Graphic Settings---
Renderer = DirectX12
Mode = Windowed Full Screen
VSync = Off
Dynamic Resolution = unchecked
Upscale Mode = NVIDIA DLSS
Image Quality = Balanced
HDR = unchecked

Texture Quality = High (default)
Texture Filtering = 8x
Lighting = Shadows + Global Illum (default)
Shadow + GI Quality = Low (default)
Sun Shadow Quality = High (default)
Number of Lights = High (default)
Bloom = 100%
Water Detail Level = High (default)
Nvidia Reflex = On + Boost
Foreground FPS Cap = Checked and 144 (my monitor refresh rate)
Background FPS Cap = Unchecked and 30
Triple Buffering = Checked
Dynamic Culling = Unchecked
Target Framerate = 120 (maximum to the right)
Engine Multithreading = Checked

some of your settings may differ for the default and I think the key is to stick to "Default" within the "Detail Settings" section and also have Nvidia Reflex On + Boost.

Hello again everyone.

As the patch notes mentioned; there is a temporary fix regarding this for users on Windows 24h2 (26XXX) in the current build of Path of Exile 2 (It will be backported to PoE 1 when that receives a client patch).

For those who haven't had any success related to a full PC freeze/crash when multithreading is enabled please once again send me your dxdiag output and adding --ex-crash-report to your launch options (if you only experience this on DX12). The engine team are working with both NVIDIA and Microsoft to sort any issues that we cannot reliably fix.

Thanks again and please keep this thread civil so support doesn't have to lock this as there is lots of useful information.

I will keep it civil. Fix your game. Your game is unplayable. So can you please be CIVIL and fix your game which we pay for. If you dont know what to do drop everything and fix the crashes first before you start work on anything fancy. Shame on you GGG!
