POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

So just to say it, because at this point it is true. THEY DON'T CARE.

This problem has existed without any formal acknowledgement. EVERY interview they have ever done did not remotely include anything about this problem. Every streamer who is affiliated with GGG never brings it up, all they ever do is placate and suck up to GGG.

So, at the end of the day. I more than consider it fraud. They aren't upfront with how bad this issue is, or the gross number of players it effects. They continue to take people's money however for a broken product without being forthcoming with the knowledge that the game is broken.

FRAUD!

If I could get my money back and cut ties with GGG forever I would, but sadly they got me.

But it will never happen again.

What a joke of a company to try to play the Indy company card but behave as bad as Blizzard.

Guys this is the most unstable game ive ever played and im a star citizen backer.
this is not a win issue or even a uncommon one, happens on wins 10 11 linux wine all of them.
2 months of this is starting to make me think you have no idea what is going on

Try to play indy company? They stated years ago (Chris) that they spend enough money in developments to be called a triple A company nowadays.

GGG, when will you provide an update or some transparency for this issue? This issue has been in the game since day 1 of early access. The players affected by this should not be jumping through hoops to get the game to work without fully crashing their PCs.

Previously when I first had this issue, the "solution" that worked for me (but not for everyone) was to roll-back from 24H2 to 23H2. Today, Windows decided to push the 24H2 update on my system again automatically. Unsurprisingly the issue still persists. So here I go rolling-back again, just to be able to play ONE video game.

23H2 will officially stop receiving support on November 11, 2025. I will not be staying on this version of Windows forever because I don't want to put my system at risk due to no security updates. I would rather not play this game.

Upgraded my PC the other day from a i7 8700k with Windows 10 to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D with Windows 11 and ran in to this problem.
Didn't have this problem before my upgrade with over 300h played.

Game keeps freezing on loading into maps or just any loading screen, I have to do a hard pc reset.
I have task manager up on other monitor and just see the cpu spike up at 100% when going through a portal and I can't do anything. It doesn't happen all the time but I would say about 80-90% of the time.

I tried some of different things like Set Affinity in task manager for the game but that didn't help, computer still froze.
I tried the PoEUncrasher, but that doesn't help ether.

The only solution that has worked for me so far to disable multithreading in the options.
When I load into the map I turn it back on again and my game runs solid 144fps. This is really frustrating to do every time I have to use a portal but it's better then having the computer freeze and do a hard reset.

Well I managed to successfully reverse this charge with the help of my credit card company. Absolutely absurd, anti-consumer, low quality, low skill behavior from GGG. Good luck everyone, but I have zero hope they're going to fix this issue at this point.

This is a good idea! I couldn't get Steam to refund me because i have 7 hours in the game. Even after I explained to them that I only actually played the game for maybe 3 hours lol

Realistically it shouldn't matter how many hours you have into it, Steam should issue the refund because the product is demonstrably defective. They should be ashamed to even be hosting it as "early access" and collecting money for a fundamentally broken game.

So I wrote an Email hoping to get some more information, but as always and what I already expected, I got the "not having enough staff resources" answer, which I understand. I do hope we get some sort of feedback from GGG about what is happening why the crashes are there.
