Would prevent some confusion if you removed the line about swapping to Glacial Bolt on the second and third setup. Second should just say to use Glacial Bolt as you'll be well over level 22 at that point and saying to switch from Galv to Glacial in the third setup is wrong and contradicts your video and mobalytics guide.

Yea sorry, formatting is kinda wacky. I'll need to rework this guide a bit.

Is it possible to change 3rd ascendancy to Integrated now that its fixed?

Yes, looks like it's fix, but you don't wanna grab that as 3rd ascendancy. I would grab the gem quality one for damage increase

I am level 8 on this Merc and I gotta say it feels like complete ass. Like Im either going to reroll or quit ASS.
When does this...stop sucking?

A setup from rue that I thought worked well is frag rounds with double barrel and permafrost bolts with pierce. Freeze the minions with frost bolts and then pop them with frag rounds.
Then get flash grenade with overpower and scattershot, gives you a bit more AoE

I would like to express my gratitude for this comprehensive build guide. I am thoroughly enjoying it, and I was wondering if I could ask a few questions.

Firstly, regarding the Servi quest reward, which Venom Draught did you recommend choosing?

Secondly, in terms of recommending jewels for the passive tree, what specific ones do you think would be suitable?

I picked mana regen because we have mana issue a bit later in the game. We are stun immune so we don't care about that, and ailment we can fix with charms. That's my logic anyway, not saying that it's the best choice...

For the jewels, the generic ailment damage, projectile damage, poison magnitude, crossbow damage all works, hit on unique and rare monster should be ok as well. I'll update the jewel section later.

i love it!

because:

it's exactly what I wanted my build to be and how I was playing till act 3 :)

after I noticed that I was lacking something, finding this build blew my mind.
with only a few minor changes, your version completly improved my own while still encompassing the exact same playstyle; but i'm significantly stronger now.

Thank you!

it's just perfect when I find something that's essentially the same idea but simply optimized :)
I'm in early maps, been using this build the entire time. Glacial bolt is weird and inconsistent but still freezes mobs. Galvanic shards refuse to freeze mobs consistently, especially yellows, and you can forget about freezing bosses. I already have the unique ring to convert lightning damage with a perfect roll on freeze build-up and the 3link suggested. It just doesn't freeze shit fast enough.

Alot of people are gonna find their damage and CC lacking if they switch. I'd just stick with glacial bolt and upgrade your weapon. Bare minimum, keep glacial bolt on the side for bosses. Build is starting to fall off now, and clear speed only gets so much better when dealing with crossbows.

Hmm it's weird. As it shouldn't fall off in early map. I'm doing tier 6 7 in like 5 6 minutes just rushing through maps. I'll make another update then going over how to play this build in maps to see if it's help.
Much appreciated, alot of the blame can be put on my weapon, as it has the exact same stats as yours from act 4. I've got a base +6 proj/flat phys bow, but the greater essence of torment is roughly 20ex+. I had enough for the ring(14ex) but not the bow to gamble on, leaving me kinda stuck as no one is selling good crossbows at a realistic price atm.
Question regarding Galvanic, how are you converting lightning to cold? Also, would you recommend switching into galvanic with the cold conversion (that I can't figure out) at the end of act 3? I'm finding glacial clumsy when the enemies are on top of me.
