" After watching the video, I think the build needs another layer of defense. With how you technically only get one life with maps currently, it's too punishing dying. I'm mixing another build with this and end up using a shield and I feel much comfortable mapping. Not sure if you have another way of adding defense. "One possibility I considered was Enfeeble as the 2nd curse, replacing Flammability in the Reaver version and Vulnerability in the SRS version. It'd be about like having Hellhound damage reduction against bosses, stronger against rares. |

Having the hellhound between 3rd and 4th ascendancy made mapping more comfortable. Losing it on the 4th ascendancy felt too sketchy. |

Why reavers? They're not even that good.
I've talked to other minion players in game who're around my level 85+ and none of them think reavers are good. The question is, why would you switch from a better build firewall SRS + arsonists to a worse build reavers, mages, and cleric. Makes no sense. If reavers were good, we'd have seen patch notes nerfing them, not skeletal arsonists. I'd argue skeleton archers are better than reavers, cheaper cost and gas arrows do very good boss damage, they're not bad at clearing, and they got synergy with firewall + SRS. The biggest difference running skeleton archers, is I had to pop gas arrows off, which is one more button to press than I had to press playing arsonists, but running reavers and frost mage, and storm mage is even more buttons. I'm not looking for a full MMORPG rotation here. Make minions lazy again. We'll probably need to wait on specters or golems for that. I miss the days of running around maps in PoE1 as a necromancer watching enemies get balled by golems or specters and I didn't have to press any buttons. It's totally fine to treat builds as a skeleton then deviate from / combine them into something your own. "I didn't "switch" from anything. Just making my own build for the first time and if it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't. Not trying to make the absolute strongest build possible by copying everything that is found to be meta. Again, you want to use flame wall or arsonists with this build? Don't see why it wouldn't work. Probably stronger. Not what I'll be doing. |

Added uniques and changed a couple supports. Especially important change to frost mages is considered casting no longer works; use new Bidding support instead

Hello there I would like to ask, does any of our minion do chaos damage? Or are you taking Right Hand of Darkness for the minion aoe boost?

After the nerf to arsonists (they're still good, FYI), I found it more expedient to simply run 20+ skeleton archers. They clear faster than arsonists, but boss slightly worse. This means dump every ounce of spirit you have into maximum quantity of skeleton archers, no SRS, no blasphemy, just straight archers.

"Actually looking at it again I think we'd rather drop the 4 nodes to Right Hand of Darkness (still keeping Entropic Incarnation) and pick up the curse effect/duration nodes. Also dropped the 30% crit damage to route through the ES cluster in the middle. |
