My Bonestorm/Reap Blood Mage starter for PoE 2 - THE JOURNEY PAID OFF
Great build, I'm currently playing through act 2 as bone throwing witch with skeletons as meat? shield. Looking forward to your step-by-step guide.

I'm currently early into maps (tiers 2-3) and finished the third ascendancy trial. Level 72/73.
I gave up trying to fully use Bonestorm all the time, it's just too slow for that. Instead, I spam Bone Cage (echo/extra pin/larger area) to kill most white/blue mobs. It insta pins anything it touches so I'm safe from 99% of the mobs running at me, and one cast with echo is enough to dispatch white mobs and put blue mobs at cull range if I get two crits. I use Bonestorm to kill bosses, rares (2-3 casts does the job) and the odd big mobs I don't near me. I didn't go for any power charge nodes because our charge generation is terrible, thanks to the cooldown on combat frenzy. Generating it with pin on Bonestorm also means you generate 1-2 (unless that 5% node procs) and spends it right after. So I'm keeping things at 3 charges until we figure out a better way to generate all of them between casts. Thinking of giving the "%chance to spawn 2 extra projs" thing a try, but just the cluster close to the center. Pathing to the ones between Turn the Clock is just not viable for me. And I still don't have a 4th slot for Bonestorm :c |

I would love to see your skill tree as well!
I'm taking a slightly different approach for my own build, wherein I go for more life recoup and life regen than anything else when it comes to my defenses. I also pathed down to Blood Magic, so I no longer have to bother with that pesky Mana bs. Downside being that my Bonestorm now costs ~500 life per second :Skull emoji: Also, I use Detonate Dead for mob clearing too, it's very useful imo. Just, don't try and spam it on Delirium mobs that don't leave corpses, or rare mobs with minions. Those minions don't leave corpses either ;-; Last edited by Que999#2162 on Dec 13, 2024, 7:20:56 AM

what about generating power charges with voll's protector?

Just letting you know, you can get up to 50% chance to spawn 2 additional projectiles on cast via the skill tree, which works with bonestorm as such, that you will charge it WAY faster up to the max of 20 projectiles (It won't increase max amount of projectiles). Adding this into my build has been an absolute game changer.

I've seen some people saying that Gore Spike ascension node is currently bugged and does nothing. I don't have it to check myself, but can anyone confirm/deny?

" I tried Momentum and the boss in Act 3 Normal just melted like butter. Also, I think there is currently a bug on BoneStorm where you can walk on normal MS while still casting the bones. 😏 Thanks for the ideas here.. Will wait for more build ideas on this thread.. btw, my current setup is: BoneStorm with Momentum + Brutality + Splinter (I dropped Inevitable Critical atm) |
