Doedre's ring give you+1 curse (maybe there are other +curse sources in the game, but I'm not aware of them).


Guys, do those nodes affect AoE of aura curses linked to Blasphemy? Or does it only affect self casting ones like Despair? (that we usually self cast with this build)

1 default + 1 passive node + 1 unique ring

I might experiment though. Manual Despair might be better for boss damage and it's not really needed as a half-strength aura for anything but bosses. I have a long Time Freeze, so perfect for Despair on bosses. Currently I can only burn half their health in one rotation.

It works. (There's no "aura range" stat afaik.)

I might experiment though. Manual Despair might be better for boss damage and it's not really needed as a half-strength aura for anything but bosses. I have a long Time Freeze, so perfect for Despair on bosses. Currently I can only burn half their health in one rotation.


I prefer manual by a lot. It’s more damage, it does not require you to stay in melee range of bosses if you don’t need to (most of the bosses I kill from melee anyway as it's safer, but there are many rare affixes which are best approached from afar) and it frees some spirit you can use for Blink, which I see as almost mandatory for fast clear on this build.

More detail about my blood mage ED. T15 with a boss. Blood mage was a day 1 bad decision and I had no idea i'd end up playing ED either.

Manual self casting despair for the decaying hex + impending doom spread

tooltip shows 10k dot damage with soul offering up. Deals 40% more damage if a minion has health, and another 35% if poisoned. Doesn't delete bosses like some builds, but for DOT playstyle i feel this is very strong

Saw this post and got a bit excited, but seems like most of you guys might be struggling more than I am.

Is anyone running essence drain endgame in maps? If so, what tiers?

I'm running gemmling (only T2 endgame currently) and dealing around 2k DPS on ed dot.. but even at gem level 24, it still isn't enough damage to clear in maps without reapplying.

This makes a pack of magic monsters take around 2xdot duration to kill. (That's ofc assuming I land ed and contagion without missing). Damage isn't high enough or fast enough when compared to something like shockranger who blazes through maps killing mobs in <2s.

I've gone through a lot of struggles with this build. This is what I'm sitting at right now. It feels pretty good overall. Mixing in Hexblast and Blasphemey enfeeble where huge for my survivability, as well as picking up some armor.

I mostly still clear with ed/contagion, but hexblast comes in clutch when surrounded, or vs bees\insects\crabs that die too fast.

I'm sure I have plenty of optimizations/improvements to make, but clear feels pretty solid and bosses die pretty quickly. I"m currently doing

I'm running ED/Contagion for all the endgame (for maps it is T15+2 maps with max atlass buffed bosses) on SSF. Most of my way up to that point (including build / theorycrafting and link to mobalytics, which is a bit outdated, but I'll update it during the weekends) is in this thread.

My DPS on full buffed ED is ~35k, which is enough to oneshot most of the rares on T15. Without buffs / curses it's ~6k, and it's enough to clean white/blue packs in T15 in one application. Duration is 5.2 seconds.

It was ok pre buff and it is good post buff. Not oneshoting bosses, but kills them pretty fast. Clear is excellent.

With this set up i easy clear t10-t12 didnt try higher because those waystones wont DRop :D

Gamplay its realy easy

Fast clear mobs ED>con>(if mob is hard to kill add Despair)>Dark Effigy>(if mob FAST AS **** boi use bone Cage to stop then) spam ED for freez and Dot on all mob) not even a single mob should melee hitu :D

For gearing:
+ lvl to gems > Res cap > Chaos DMG > SPell DMG > HP > mana > and what u need for ur gameplay style



Im still in test phase on this build end game for me is Crit build for CHaos bolt with DOTers and Cast on crit with DE maybe :D idk yet

And one more time, sorry for all mistakes in english writing :D:D

EDIT 1: Passiv points that are in Resilient Soul can be spend better, i was running Spiral Into Insanity but respec them and forogot about Resilient Soul :D
