one thing you need to understand is the atlas is not like poe1's atlas. theres no 131 named maps that you need to clear.
think of it more of delve. you find a special boss node, clear it and maybe you'll earn an atlas point. then you need to keep "delving" to find more bosses.
something like that.
as for bricking the atlas, i think ggg would invent ways to reset the atlas.

They confirmed that you can reset atlas if you're stuck long time ago, so yes, you're absolutely right.
Idk why people think GGG don't consider such obvious things, they have more than 10 years of experience and their original leaders are still there. I'm 100% sure they know what they're doing.

I have faith in them but they are only human, it's not unreasonable for them to forget or overlook something, not likely but also not 100% impossible either.

I have the faith that if a solution isn't already implemented they will come up with a way given the feedback.

It's not possible to say anything that we haven't played yet, but what this looks like to me is the monoliths of Last Epoch and everyone knows very well how this game is a terrible flop, it hasn't had 1k players on it for a long time, it died in 3 months.
I HOPE PoE doesn't fall into the same trap.
Lmao wtf are you on about? Last Epoch regularly has ~1500 daily players on Steam. Literally 1700+ during today's 24hr peak.

ggg borrowed and learned a lot from LE.
LE showed ggg how gold can be good as long as theres a ton of ways to sink gold.
LE showed ggg how trade with "penalties" can be good to combat bots and encourage players to play more rather than trade BUT still gives players the ability to trade.
LE showed ggg its monolith system which arguably is the basis of path2's mapping.
be more like GGG, taking good ideas from other games.
be less like blizzard, keeping their head hidden under a rock.

Im ok with 1 portal but it would be nice if we could just retry the same node with another waystone.
To be completely honest PoE1 had better endgame. The way of progression was clearer, you could choose the layout you wanted by throwing in the maps you liked and it was just more comfortable to use. This feels to much like rifts in diablo 3. You do the same thing with higher and higher numbers attached. You dont feel the progress.

yes you can. i think the thread started from outdated info that we got from path2's release.
the devs have changed it so you can do exactly that (just put in another waystone to retry)
the caveat is that any special rewards or encounters that were supposed to be in the map will disappear if you died in the map. you can retry it but it will be treated as just a random map with no special bonuses as all of them are removed from the map on your death.

But thats what im talking about. Getting another shot at the same rewards. Like make a node have 3 "tries" so to speak but you need new waystone each time. Something in that fashion.

ah i kinda forgot then. too many topics nowadays.
but yeah i feel it would be better if we had at least 3 tries IF playing single player
