Path of Exile 2 - Ascendancy Classes in Early Access
why is gemling good for minions? its so far away from all the minion nodes on the tree. it would be like doing minions on a duelist in current poe. too much travel nodes to get the minion nodes.

I am so hyped for this game!

As people said it earlier, these ascendancy classes seem dull and uninspired. 20 inventory slots, additional armor from chest, 15% life are all trash. Pathfinder is dead on arrival, it doesn't even have any support for any flask skill granted by ascendancy besides the poison one in the tree. This list can go on and on. What kind of design is that?
I think that these trees do not affect builds in the same way they did in Path of Exile and that is not a good thing, because they significantly limit the variability of builds. IMO, after the hype goes down in 1-2 weeks after the EA's release, it will become obvious that building around these trees is not that interesting as it was in PoE. I'd be happy to be wrong about it, however right now I personally don't feel excited about these at all. |

I'm soooo excited cant wait for it

Gonna be honest, I expected more. Deadeye frenzy stacking looks potentially strong, Chayula Monk also has potential, the crossbow guy also looks generic, but strong. Titan's 50% increased effect of small notables node will also probably make a much bigger impact than the 100% more armor from your body armour and 15% more life notables combined.
But the biggest love and hate I feel is with Blood Mage. Having only 3 real ascendancy points to choose from feels just wrong. I really want to go Blood Mage, I do love the idea behind it and the overall concept, but man it is bad to have 3-pointer ascendancy. And to run around looking for life orbs in fight will also become very tedious, and fast. Overall I'm getting Ruthless vibes from some of the ascendancies. I feel like we need atleast 5 ascendancy points in PoE 2 to make it a bit more interesting. Last edited by grynnder#7112 on Dec 4, 2024, 10:02:20 AM

I see 2/3 interesting/very interesting ascendancy
I see some pretty useless too imho Gem studded is the worst thing i'v ever seen, it imply 1 gem support/per character, so rip CoC/alternate cast builds, life build, multi skill builds, it's not going to work anymore, bit sad to lose builds option like that. W8 & see, but i really hope it would have the replayability of PoE 1 and not the "one-time story and drop it" feeling it's giving actualy, it dont look very replayable at first, really hope i'm wrong on that. |

" Don't enter PoE 2.0, don't write such post on forum. Play some other stuff. Otherwise you look like a young complaning girl.... |

" Yes. That's one of the "new" things with PoE 2, you can only have 1 of each support in your skills overall. E.g: "Fireball" + "fire mastery support" will prevent you from using "fire mastery support" in other skills. " It implies that because that has been public knowledge for a century now.. I don't understand how you can complain without knowing most of the skill tree , itemization and how the game works that build X is good or bad.
At least play the game before leaving feedback :) Its a fresh start for all of us and we know very little about the game at this point. Also this is Early Access and things will be changing quite a bit until the game sees the full release. Developers will be analyzing feedback and in-game data |
