Path of Exile 2 - Ascendancy Classes in Early Access

Titan with defenses from Mysterious Linage and Stone Skin and offense (and more) from hulking form seems really strong and lets you pick skills freely.
where is all the minion stuff? so not having a dedicated minion ascendancy in reality means no minion-related nodes?
The Mercenary looks like a cheater class( A lot of "to usefull things" that can manage your stats problem.

So hyped after seeing the rest of the Infernalist. Perfect for CI/ES minions!

Edit: Gemling Legionnaire looks a little to glass cannon for minions even though it has some nice nodes.

I am a little confused why the tree seems to only allow 1 build. Demon Form and Pyromantic Pact both are recipes for HC death.

Even the ES build variant looks dangerous because if you accidentally skill 3 Beidat's skill, you should instantly die at 0 health.

Further, one of the skills burns both Life and ES as fire damage, (which probably comes out of ES but at a much higher rate of speed).

Using one half of the tree negates the other half of the tree entirely.

Yeah upon further consideration and less hype with a closer look, I'm a bit dismayed with the options for es considering it's the Witch ya'know, and then if you want CI well.. better look at another class entirely.
Gemling Legionnaire might have to do for a minion build, if you want to run es/ci at least.
AMAZING STUFF!

Question: is it intentional that Chonk(Acolyte of Chayula) uses a different wording on each of his damage-related nodes?
(Reality Rending: % of dmg with HITS as EXTRA; Grasp of the Void: % of dmg as EXTRA; Purple Flame of Chayula: % of dmg as)
Just a yes or no, as I have a pretty clear idea on how they'd most likely work if they are indeed different modifiers and Im very excited to see them in action!

And once again, THANK YOU for making the greatest and the 2nd greatest arpgs of all time
where is necro sadge
quite certain that Acolyte of Chayula darkness path is DoA, node doesn't say spirit affects darkness value, doesn't say you can reserve it with meta/buff gems. even at max level of 100 it's only 600 darkness which isn't anything at all. a aura curse is gonna provide more power then grasp of the void will even at level 100 and never reserving darkness but you will be able to reserve more spirit for other things as well.
is it missing a zero somewhere?

the node that halves the reserve time is completely dead, that's not a ascendancy node, that's a small ascendancy passive node.

the small nodes are not shown.

the rest of Acolyte of Chayula's nodes seem quite alright but that entire darkness path is so bad. i thought for sure it would of been adjusted or at least the other node behind it wasn't terrible.

and no i don't need to play darkness to understand how bad it is. on paper it is bad, in practice it's likely even worse.

would need to triple it's values (3% of extra as extra chaos per 20 unreserved darkness or 15 maximum darkness per level) and replace inner silence with something meaningful before losing all of your spirit and ability to use meta gems would become a reasonable choice.
it's that or the text on embrace the darkness is wrong and you can reserve and spirit counts towards darkness.....still leaves inner silence being a dead node.

Why does Infernalmancer look like a suicide pill?

There's nothing in this tree which really seems to balance all the life reservation and Mana tradeoff. One of the passives will actually kill you if you take life reservation. (100% ES/Life damage as fire damage if vs 25-75% life reservation = you will die if you accidentally spam skills....)

I know there's probably some itemization which balances this out, but an ascendancy tree shouldn't be based on itemization.

It's almost like it's exclusively built for SRS or RF builds.

Even then it's pretty scary.

You can (most probably) invest in defences in your passive tree as well. Depending on what's easier to get, you can go for Beidat's Hand and increased ES on tree, or Beidat's Gaze + Mind Over Matter and increased max mana. Beidat's hand + Beidat's Will + 200% increased ES (not that much, if Int still provides increased ES as well) offers the same EHP with just free spirit and being low life. Seems very strong at first glance.

Also, if you go pyromantic pact + life reservation with 75% fire res and no huge recovery, that's on you, not on the ascendancy.

I think Low Life is back to 35%, IF I'm not mistaken.
I really want to go for invoker monk, any experienced poe 1 veterans can take a look at it and see if it would work til the very end game without any issue?
