One Key giveaway - PoE 1 Stories

One of most satisfying moments, that i still remember, was finding Zerphi's Last Breath, back when you could use it to tank everything in game, and most disappointing moment when few weeks later they nerfed it, including legacy versions.

What I remember most was when I just started playing, I created a character in ruthle mode and spent hours trying to kill the oak.

I played few league during my college time, and always play together with my friends. I still remember in one of league, one of my friends get few exalted orbs in one day, whereas me farmed few days still haven't get single exalted orb. That was my most enraging moment on POE.

This happened just last league.

I was trying to buy a very specific corrupt on Darkray Vectors, so I messaged a bunch of people over a couple of days, but none of them responded, except for one.
A couple of hours after messaging him he said if I still needed them, I noticed his name was a reference to a meme in twitch chat of a poe streamer I frequently watch, so naturally I complimented him on the name and he responded that he thought the boots were underpriced but I could buy them if I helped him kill act 10 Kitava. Naturally I did and during the fight he even flexed his headhunter by dropping it on the ground. After the fight he simply gave the boots to me for free, we talked some more and we went our separate ways, but this interaction still lingers in my mind. Overall very cool experience.

I've got over 1200 hours in PoE1 (played like 5 leagues total), but I never had a Headhunter or Mageblood, never saw a Mirror ingame and never made it to lvl 100 (95 was the highest). The game just feels too hard, honestly :)

I play alone and I'm not buying any leveling or other services.. I used some builds for general guidance, but then deviated from those as I wanted to adjust on my own, knowing that I'll loose power, but I felt happier and more free doing so.
My most memorable moment was winning a fight and beating Maven :)

In version 3.21 or lower, when i was playing with my brother, i bet OUR mother's soul that i would get mageblood with ancient orbs right NOW and after reading prayers and doing rituals for luck i used only ONE orb and actually, i really did it! we were in total shock but it wasn't the end i used another orb just for fun, and damn it, I did it again! And then i got carried away with excitement and i told my brother to bring me more belts, but unfortunately my rng meter was completely gone by that point (and on top of that i was cursed with "seven years bad luck" after that lmao) and of course no new t0-belts followed, but damn, i was on cloud nine at that moment.

Started POE in 2013. Retired off the grindfest for about 4 years, but really looking forward to POE2 finally coming to EA. 2 seems to address a lot of the reasons I retired - time being chief among them. I started my professional career and grew the family which shifts priorities. Can't take 2+ weeks playing after hours to get started. In POE2 though, looks like it won't take as long to get an economy going, or to play the gem setup you want - looks like a blast! Looking forward to returning.

Best part of leagues for me has been toward the end after I would get 40/40. I'd get 50 people in my hideout for a giveaway contest and run them through a maze. Whoever reached me from the WP got some currency or gear. It was a good way to have some entertainment watching players run around rat-race style to the finish for loot. Little player/player interactions like that are possible here to get off the grind and keep things social, entertaining, and wholesome.

One memorable moment was when I stayed up until 4am farming like a madman during the first 2 days of the league just to buy the 3 primordial golem jewels right before they skyrocketed in price.

That league was the first time I killed Sirus.

Since then I play SSF.

You don't really know life if you haven't rolled maps to NOT have on-ground effects mods in the past. They were so heavy for my old PC the fans were getting loud enough i was afraid the PC will take off.

I miss pre 2.0 patch era.

Played since 2013 ,mostly hc. I've missed some of the last leagues :).Most meaningful encounters are always facing a pinnacle boss on hc with a zdps char and win, just to die after to a rare oneshot mob :D :D.
