Hi ! Anyone saw if there will be pre-download on steam too?
"
STEAM USERS:
As has been said 100's of times in this thread, the ability to pre-load a game that is in Early Access is restricted by STEAM ITSELF, and NOT GGG.
Steam/Valve has NEVER allowed pre-loading of Early Access games.
There is a work around, however.
Download the stand alone client so that you're ready to play when the servers open tomorrow. Then add the PoE2 client to your Steam library as a "non Steam Game." Now you get all the functionality of using Steam to launch PoE2, etc.
After EA opens tomorrow, and when it's convenient for you, you can then remove PoE 2 from your Steam library and uninstall the game. At this point, redeem your Steam key from your PoE2 account, and download PoE2 through Steam.
So again, one more time for those in back...
STEAM DOES NOT ALLOW PRE-LOADING OF EA GAMES BEFORE EA BEGINS.
If GGG is somehow able to convince Steam/Valve to allow preload of PoE2, they will have pulled off a miracle, and should be praised til the end of time.

Why still no Steam though? Literally everyone waits for Steam.
Steam has a strict policy of not allowing pre downloads for early access content. There are no plans to change this just for this game as far as i know. Its not GGG, its steam
Stop spreading this lie.

YES! IT! IS!
My friend, I'm 57 years old, and have been using Steam since version 1.0 of the original "Steam Engine."
In all that time, Valve has *never* allowed pre-loading of an Early Access game.

Early Access titles must deliver a playable game or usable software to the customer at the time of purchase, while pre-purchase games are delivered at a future date. Read more about Pre-Purchasing on Steam.
It is true, cope more
