The physical good was one of the selling point of the higher packs. I personally don't buy packs for the points, I usually just waste them on boxes anyway, I buy them to support the game development and the physical made it feel more worth.

GGG really should have sorted supplier(s) with localized manufacturing to each economic region and as such keep shipping costs low and eliminate customs fees. What it seems like they did was just get a supplier that was beneficial to them and pass over any additional cost to the customer with no negotiations for good shipping solutions.

+1 on that.

WHY remove the free shipping with 3-6month delay???
Ive bought multiple tshirt and hoodie packs in the past and never had a problem waiting months for the items to come cause I knew at one point they will come.

Im all for being able to pay for faster shipping but this is stupid

Probably because that delivery option had some serious issues with missing/lost items and people having to expect additional waiting time on top of that if the manufacturer has issues or item being stuck in customs. The legality on selling such a product gets pretty iffy at that point.

Luckily we can replace the physical items with points. Sad that there are no cheaper shipping solutions but it is what it is.

1+ same

It's not unheard of, it's just a case of import tax, delivery insurance and speed of delivery (some people got there physical goods yesterday)

Tax and duties aren't included in the shipping cost as per the supporter pack page:

"Your local country may charge you additional customs fees or duties when the physical goods arrive. We have no control over these fees, unfortunately."
lets play the calculator game, (Germany Edition)

Shirt - 15.10 USD Shipping

Shirt + Hoddie - 26.79 USD Shipping

Shirt + Hoddie + Book - 68.98 USD Shipping

And if you're unlucky, you'll still have to pay import tax.

A hoddie was recently sent to me and I was then able to pay import taxes of 19.84€...

So I have to double the shipping costs because there are import taxes on top?!

That's really shitty GGG :/

Fun Fact:

Shirt + Hoddie (XL) - 26.79 USD Shipping
Shirt + Hoddie (4XL) - 29.46 USD Shipping

Shirt + Hoddie (4XL) + Book - 79.48 USD Shipping

10.50 USD Shipping Diff with Book why?!

I was just about to place my order, but I had to cancel when I saw the shipping cost. €50 for shipping a t-shirt feels really excessive — quite disappointing
I think most people forget where GGG is based in the world. They literally have to ship across the planet in most cases. Unless someone from Australia is ordering it its gonna be $

I can't speak for people in Europe, but in the past products were extremely inexpensive to ship. It's actually dirt-ass cheap to bulk ship clothing, in terms of money per weight-distance, when you don't care about immediacy.

The downside, obviously, is that it took over a year for me to get my Exarch hoodie and by the time my Zana shirt arrived it was a genuine surprise because I had completely forgotten I was ever getting one.

GGG have since changed to a different export agency, which delivers goods far more quickly but at a much greater cost. The solution, obviously, is to opt out of the physical goods and just get some extra points instead if you intend to buy one of the newer supporter packs.
