"When you mention budget, team size and development time compared to PoE 1, yes, the implication is there, Mr. 4k Ultra.
" Nah. The only implication here is that the most basic amount of polish and content are not even in the same realm. People who throw this "don't forget about PoE 1 back in the day" argument around seem to have forgotten where PoE 1 came from and what it looked like back then. Here's a clip from the Alpha. Best part of that video is the description itself: " Also, thanks for noticing my specs. :) Some people find that info more important than I do. I think I initially was going to try it out but I think I'll wait for a full release and be surprised by everything instead of already knowing the whole game prior.

are people not gonna get bored with spamming 3 acts in already first week? how long EA gonna be playable? i cant imagine people spamming 3 acts for 200-300 hours

" FAR less then half the game to play. Remember, originally it was a single ascendancy per playable class when they said we could play 10/12. So this beta will have 3/6 acts that'll be pretty quick after our first time through. 6/12 classes, and that means at most 6/36 ascendancies. Nearly zero end game. What happened to the idea of having poe2 be more full of content then other arpgs when it's playable? Because right now D4's early access had more content. I'm warnin yall, letting them slide on this early access BS only means it'll take longer to full release. They'll get most of the money early because it's pay to play poe2 for the next year or two, and they can trickle in base content every couple of months. We're so hungry for PoE2 that players are going to be burning themselves out on this tiny amount of content, then consuming every update immediately. Hell I won't be surprised if there's a large amount of apathy when PoE2 finally releases, since we'll all have seen most of it over and over again. Sure they'll keep the last act non playable which is cool, but what, are they going to keep endgame a secret as well? Or will we be playing a non complete game for the next couple years that doesn't even have and endgame?
" As opposed to what, precisely? Rioting like mad on the forums for five solid weeks? What would that change? I fail to see what effective action the community could take to alter the events in question. They're not going to release half-baked content they're not satisfied with just because some folks on the forum are upset they're not getting the entire game for free right away. One can accept the delays and the limitations of the EA period with whatever grace one will, or one can vote with their wallet and not pay for EA, either at all or until they deem the EA worth supporting. Those are the options. " Reminder: "Endgame" in Path of Exile is either farming the exact same ultrajuiced Uber boss literally on repeat forever, or farming the exact same ultrajuiced, hyper-narrow maps-adjacent content on repeat forever. If a player can call running five-emblem legion encounters and LITERALLY NOTHING but running five-emblem Legion encounters 'endgame', then regular mapping will work out just fine. Presuming, of course, that the weird low-level endgame-analogue they're working on is basically leveled-down maps, which is likely the easiest solution to throw out until the rest of the game kicks in.
" Why do you view everything only in extremes? I never said anyone should "riot like mad", but I do think they should voice their displeasure with the current events. Endgame is... endgame dude. You're in the endgame when you've completed the campaign, and in poe1 this means you're running maps and working on different mechanics while doing so. I'm confused on what your point was with this last part. I stated there would be almost no end game in EA, if any at all. And as far as I can tell right now, I'm correct. Anyway, in my own personal opinion that no one else needs to share, I think this entire beta / EA is a mistake. We've waited 5 years only to have the renamed beta contain very little content. And that's after multiple delays. This beta, that's now an EA, has already confused players who aren't hyper focused on PoE. I've seen multiple people post thinking the full release is right around the corner (D4 had 'early access', and it was the entire game a couple days early). We also have the issue of GGG essentially lying to us that PoE2 won't affect PoE1's leagues, and now we're looking at a 7 month league, meanwhile PoE2's content is so little it HAS to be years away from an actual launch. I'm sure everything will end up fine, but I'm getting worried about how GGG is handling everything.
dudes be forgetting EA does not mean u get to play the complete game. lol
thats like going to hooters expecting a strip dance. [Removed by Support]

" That is the same phenomenon I experienced with Shadow of the Erdtree. It sucked me in, I kept playing it for over 100 hours, mostly some PvP dungeon trolling later, but then I was done because there wasn't really anything to do anymore since I've seen it all a dozen times over with close to 900 hours in the game. Might do another playthrough at some point, but I'm currently playing Enshrouded since my Dragon Age Origins re-run is complete. Win 11, RTX 4080, i7-13700K, 32GB DDR5-6000, 7000 MB/s SSD, 4k Ultra
