Reaaaalllllyyy ironic. Uh, wait... We actually had base type changes so yes out of "nowhere". Thats because everyone is yepping without having a single clue why something is even strong.

And you've guessed it those new types buffed every ascendancy with new layered power creep lol.

And yet you still dont understand why something is strong. Powercreep for every ascendancy haha. Yeah every ascendancy gives extra es or life based on the body armor you equip. Again get your knowledge together before spamming people with more of those replies.

You didn´t get a lot of net defense for other ascendancies since Grace and Determination gave 1k more flat armor and evasion. Its more like open aura for something else with a ilvl 84 base type in every slot and thats about it has nothing to do with your so called "layered powercreep". This alone doesn´t carry a build to the broken state.
not to mention "one step ahead" is huge for t17's. its not a coincidence that trickster became popular after t17 was introduced last league

Wildwood warden Trickster was way worse during affliction league in terms of power and nobody cried about it. And again more players picked trickster up with this league and out of nowhere it's a huge problem for people especially those with fomo. You can't make this up that the same class went over the radar for players multiple years and stuff there's a uproar. Lol

The new base items did buffed every build up extremely all to the point that many don't even run determination or grace anymore and yet achieve better defensive performance than before.
So please do some research on your own before you make wild claims as most players already knew how buffed defensive layers are prior the league release just based on the patch notes lol. Sorry if you missed that part, you'll get there if you let go of the trickster fomo.

Juggernaut would like to have a talk with you. Not that fomo individuals start to make a uproar that juggi is illegally op...
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

this is where i can see you not understanding "why" people are crying about it.

t17s didnt exist back then so we didnt really need to worry about a few particular map mods that exist in t17.

the way i see it some t17 map mods are just bullshit. the argument should be more focused on t17 map mods rather than trickster and juggs having an unstoppable advantage.

valdo maps did exist and some are harder than most t17 maps.
Nvm people who run these don't struggle with fomo like the current minority with their t17 and trickster problems.
Yet plenty run t17 maps without issues on a non trickster or jug build, so it's again obvious nothing but a fomo and skill problem.
Case closed at this point as the not really existent trickster and t17 problems are stale by now.

Going to be interesting to see what sort of new fomo "problems" establish with the next league and PoE2. :)

i would agree its a FOMO issue but not necessarily a skill issue. players want to have fun. its like how back in the day weaker players hated temporal chains. even myself. now? i m so fast that even with temp chains i dont even realize im penalized.

speed is the meta in poe so its logical that most builds will overcome temp chains naturally. the action speed and petrifying mods arent real "player killers" but instead they sap away the joy of doing those maps. having to spend more chaos to keep rerolling if you encounter them is no fun either.

i can understand how players can feel FOMO for not having access to unstoppable. to which i would point out its not the fault of the class/ascendency. it the fault of the map mod in itself. its simply unfun and players usually wouldnt want to get a unique boot to deal with it.

I don´t need to do my research. You have just a big barrier in front of you when you are reading and missing a lot of knowledge when it comes to mechanics it seems. Maybe you missed the reasoning or you can´t explain it yourself why they added new base types. But you already read the patch notes like you emphasized above so I expected bit more understanding of what you did read.

They added these to get away from the grace + determination mandantory meta for base mapping defenses. Obviously with proper rolling and investment you get more defense than slapping 2 auras before. Neither the playerbase liked the double aura setup nor did ggg. But again adding a new aura or even 2 doesn´t make you broken. It makes you stronger sure. And there is no trickster fomo. Stop talking about fomo in every topic what a cheap excuse if you have nothing constructive to say.

Also nobody was "crying" about trickster. Again it shows you didn´t even know what we were talking in this post.
