Notes: 1. Thread of hope's second ring is always one ring size smaller than the one granted on the jewel, except for the smallest one, where instead the second ring is one size larger. 2. The ability to allocate passives anywhere works similar to anointing. Criticisms for previous build:

1. Having access to 6 different ascendancy notables from everywhere is too OP Problem - Originally my idea was that this was balanced out with the fact that players still needed to sacrifice jewel sockets, even with a 7 free sockets, they would need another 5 sockets to be able to fully enjoy the 6 ascendencies Solution - Reduced total amount of ascendency notables down to 3 - Players lose out the minor nodes as well so there still is some opportunity cost lost 2. Players would suffer early game and this class would only be an "end game" class. Problem - Realistically players would avoid this class, and play different classes, farm up and buy all the jewels necessary to make this class work and the class can ONLY begin to shine once they have the necessary jewels. Solution - The 2 ascendency notables are no longer tied to jewels but are directly selectable instead. - The third ascendancy notable is not free but is tied to flesh/flame jewel and requires players to get the sockets elsewhere too as the forger ascendency no longer provides free jewels. 3. Increasing unique jewels to 2 can be reckless, could be OP and might be hard to balance Solution - Broken up the single notable into 3 different notables affecting 3 different jewels independently which allows easier balancing. - Some balancing effort has already been made - A remark was made about how having 2 watchers eyes could trivialize the market as players would now buy 2 different watchers eyes with 1-2 mods that they like rather than 3. Personally, I think that this would not impact the market negatively. 3 mod watchers eyes will still be BIS and players that want to min max would still want 6 watcher eye mods of their choice. the value is still retained on the upper tier watchers eye due to this. while on the flipside, i would argue that watchers eye sellers will be able to sell off their "weak" watcher's eyes much more easily as players can now mix and match. in fact this could lead to sellers selling off watchers eyes with "bad combinations" more frequently. As for players they can have an easier time mix and matching, BUT with the loss of the life/es/mana rolls, and the fact they need an extra jewel slot, there is a cost. Version 1

The forger's ascendancy class is simple. She gains access to jewel sockets as part of her ascendancy bonuses for a total of 8 jewel sockets if the player so desires. One of her notables grants her the power to use 6 sets of forbidden flesh+flame and removes their class restrictions. with access to 7 sockets that would allow her to gain the power of 3 and a half notable ascendancy points which is almost as powerful as other ascendencies that gain 4 notables. on surface level she is weaker than other ascendencies as they gain 4 notables and 4 minor nodes which tend to be quite powerful in itself. however the power of the forger is that she has the ability to mix and match ascendancies from other classes. For example Assassin's unstable infusion and deadly infusion, combo'd with an occultist's forbidden power, which all synergizes around power charges. With an extra amount of investment to complete the last half notable, the forger could get ascendant's unleashed potential or heierophant's conviction of power. Thus you essentially gain access to a fully customizable ascendancy class which is gated by forbidden flesh/flame RNG. It does not stop there as with access to 6 sets of forbidden flesh and flame, if the player decides that they want to further capitalize on getting more ascendancy notables, they can invest into more sockets on their regular passive tree to gain access to 2 additional ascendancy notables. An alternate route the forger may take is by getting access to more unique jewels with the other notable which sets any unique jewel which has a limit of 1, now becomes a limit of 2. I will point out that this does not conflict with the other notable as Forbidden flesh/flames would have a limit of 6 so it no longer is considered having a limit of 1. But, if the player chooses to NOT allocate the earlier notable, then Forbidden flesh/flame will now have a limit of 2. Either way works. Having both or either has its advantages and disadvantages. Having both means you give up 2 jewel sockets from the ascendancy tree and having to manually find more jewel sockets on your regular passive tree. Increasing the limit of unique jewels to 2 can create very interesting dynamics such as gaining access to 2 different timeless jewels in 2 different areas. players could even gain access to 2 watchers eyes granting them a total of 6 watcher eye mods! Thematically, i feel it really fits the original theme of POE's classlessness, which was how POE originally started. Also as an exile it really fits in to the theme of survival, growth, and power. The scion starts of weak. She uses jewels to adorn herself with more power. Her starting jewels would like be rubbish but she would find newer, better jewels and even craft masterworks of her own. As she progresses through the game she eventually defeats the pinnacle bosses. The more she defeats the more powerful she becomes. Eventually becoming as strong as other exiles and possibly stronger than them, but her journey is the longest as most tedious. With her background arc having her start from a noble family, thrown to the wastes to be wasted away, but instead she struggle, survived and made herself newfound wealth. And unlike other classes, she actually utilizes her wealth to empower herself. The way her ascendancy works also emphasizes growth and adaptability. Where players would tend to pick jewel sockets as their priority but may choose to sacrifice the jewel sockets for notables. OR the player could make a conscious decision just to ignore the notables altogether and just maximize all the available sockets, perhaps for an abyss jewel stacking build. Sounds completely broken, and honestly not well thought out.
Theres a reason flesh/flames have their restrictions to specific classes. If you could just go around and pick the best of each ascendancy there would be no point in running anything else. Part of picking an ascendancy is: •Strengths and •--->Weaknesses<--- You want the ability to have 6 pairs? "forbidden flesh and forbidden flame jewel limit set to 6"??? Thats what you put down there, thats what that text says. Or do you want 3 pairs of 2, so flesh flame limit set to 3? But then ALSO want unique jewels have a limit of 2? So.... 4 flesh/flame limit ??? Those are unique jewels after all. (honestly I dont know what the math on this is. This is in conflict with flesh/flame hypothetical of 6 you have above, you want unique jewels of limit 1 set to 2.... that would force flesh flame to 2 pairs... but then you want 6 pairs apparently?) ..... "almost as powerful...." is not true here at all. This is just broken lol but it doesnt even stop there. As it would hilarious try to to get online as well. You dont gain anything progression wise until end game/min/max from your entire ascendancy. So many questions And you keep repeating "6 sets" of flesh and flame so yea theres no way this is serious. 6 ascendancies from anywhere??? " you know i really appreciate that you took the time to have a look and criticize the suggestion but to laugh it off and say stuff like "its not well taught out" and "it would be hilarious" and "theres no way this is serious". i really honestly say that you are toxic. all of that is uncalled for. you could have criticized without the need of ridiculing someone else but you took your time and effort to do just that. i was thinking of responding to you properly but seeing that you went that direction, the best i'd do is just ignore you. interestingly ulsarek mentioned the total opposite about how its weak. anyway moving on. " I do agree that the Ascendant is in a pretty weird spot at the moment and I also think she is in need of a rework. Its an interesting idea to specialize in the forbidden jewels. But I think it would make her too powerful with so many of them being able to be socketed in her ascendancy tree. It also would make her a late game ascendancy only (which is mostly the case here already) but there are some niche builds that makes her a viable starter option. She should have more possibilities to be built imo. To balance her a bit out I would change the numbers of forbidden jewels you can equip. I think going with 2 through one notable and adding another pair + 1 additional timeless jewel through an additional notable could be actually interesting. But dont allow to equip 2 of the same timeless jewel like 2 x Lethal Pride. Well and other than that they could add more notables for more early / mid game oriented since the other 2 notables are lategame focused. i like the concept, but i think it would be a min/max ascedancy, i think this would just force people to either play as an ascendant until they get the money to switch by buying the jewels, or create the scion when they are wealth enought, dont know how strong would be if you just let people choose the ascedancy node they want , limiting to 1 of each class, and if you only have 3 nodes you want, there could be like the image you shown a path to get jewel nodes, and the jewel nodes have something similar to the adorned, like, jewels in this two spaces are x times stronger, similar to the adorned stronger but limited to the jewels place inside the ascedancy, but this last idea may cause the problem that i describe at the start

This would be a good way to break the watchers eye market too. You could just get single mod ones and not have to worry about $$$ doubles since you just get unique jewels set to 2.
And then having multi A lot of problems just come up with this idea for multi exceeding limit jewels. Very broken Mash the clean

In the end you could also add the option to limit the jewel sockets she could grab to stop aura stacking shenanigans and get her instead something through other notables to compensate. | |
" Its still broken. And this is the not thought out part coming back. You fix the progression issue but than you are still left with a broken specialization that has access to the best of everything. You cant create something that just is everything all in one otherwise whats the point of everything else? Thats POE and how things are designed, you get some sort of trade off. Flesh/flame is limited 1 to your class. But this thread wants a class that has access to 6 pairs unbound to classes? How much do you want it to have access to? 5(normal amount of ascendancies with a pair)? Classless? If your entire class is somehow defined by those jewels unbound by class, then you create something that is the only option to play. Melding will become worthless as everyone will just grab valako's... All the super tank nodes will be taken and youll have immortal characters and then some strong scaling gem that has little reliance on ascendancy power. Or the reverse and all the super dps nodes will be taken and youll just have the cast on death 2.0 issue come up again. Mash the clean
