poe 1 finished

I'd argue that it has been consistently uphill since Ancestor. Fun, empowering content, with a ton of QoL. I've enjoyed 2023/24.

I agree with this. I think PoE 1 is in a fairly good state, and I'd argue maybe the best state since... Well, pre-Harvest.

My view: We can ALWAYS dislike a league; every league can't appeal to everyone. But to review the state of the game, we have to look past the league mechanics. That said, I've played the game for 10+ years, and my three favorite leagues have all come the last two years; Sentinel, Affliction and Settlers - and not necessarily because of the league mechanics themselves, but the actual state of the game.

That said (again), what they are doing now, with "Settlers 2.0" is a little bit... Underwhelming.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

What are you talking about? PoE 2 is far from being finished. It almost has no content, just some acts. These people think if open beta will be available it can replace the huge game with tons of content just from the start. GGG didn't even announce release date.

Objection: facts not in evidence.

Nobody knows what PoE2's endgame will look like, or which old dead leagues nobody likes anymore anyways will be integrated into the base experience. Nor is...y'know, an entirely new game somehow not "content". "Content" includes an entirely new skill tree, thirty-six new Ascendancies, new weapon and equipment types, a hoard of new and updated skills, an entirely new skill system...

If "Content" means nothing but "old dead leagues people farm eighteen hours a day to generate currency in order to put one single Uber boss on AFK Farm status for the rest of the league", then no. The new game will not have as much content as the old. Counterpoint: that is not what anyone should consider "content."

This. Everything the game has to offer is content. PoE 1 didn't have much league content for the longest time either, yet it became popular and grew just fine.
Looking forward to the POE 2 forum filled with posts about godmode PC hardware requirements to play above 5 FPS, but yet still ending up with combat graphics design situation where you can't tell what is happening in the 0.01 second reaction time required before you take a dirt nap.

A big portion of the replies will then be "GIT GUD SON DAT HOW IT IS LOLZ"

How to say "I have been paying zero attention to anything remotely related to PoE2" without actually using any of those words.

I bet 20 mirrors that these kind of people play on a 1050 or older and then argue "iTs a FIvE yEAr olD gAmE".

These asinine hyperbole posts might work in the D4 communities, but here they just look a bit silly.

Been paying plenty of attention both by reading and by watching. Every mistake of POE1 is being repeated in POE2, including the horrible graphics design with zero contrast and colors mashing together into one pixelated brown/black/grey blob with tilesets/backgrounds of matching color blobs.

I'll pass on more of the "dark gritty fantasy" aesthetic in which it's impossible to discern what is happening.
I think poe 1 is too big to fail for GGG in my opinion. Poe 2 is going to get alot of different types of players for sure and might even have a bigger player base because of it. At the end of the day it was poe 1 that funded poe 2, I doubt they will forget that.

leave it to the playerbase to rag on the best received league in quite a while.

I kinda wish GGG would announce they won't add faustus and settlers to the core game just to watch the meltdowns, then "revisit" the decision to give the players some agency.

To be fair, it wasn't the league, it was the currency vendor.
