Settlers 2 Fumble
I understand POE2 is the main priority and capacity needs to be moved around to cater for that vision, however there has been little effort to retain the player based.
Now with the announcement of no new content, the best that could be done was to copy & paste settlers 1 as a refreshed league and add a small carrot on a stick. You have so much content from old leagues and so many hyper events in the past. This is your opportunity to offer MUCH MORE content on a fresh league that is dumbed-down but offers more fun. This just feels like you are taking the general player base for a fool and it shows a real lack of care for your customers. Almost half a year with the same league, no thank you. +1
i suggested wildwood and sentinel instead of that mechanic from last league that nobody really liked. if we had 100% wildwood and sentinel and they were rotated every hour or whatever i'm sure a lot of people would restart but right now its not really worth restarting. i'm staying in current settlers Last edited by Lyutsifer665 on Nov 3, 2024, 8:55:45 PM

It needs an extra carrot, and i don't really mean via rewards hence why the lantern isn't doing anything for me.
Sentinel would be wonderful, right now though I just can't interest myself enough to play (which is fine) but if GGG want to tempt me back with a "filler" mini league this isn't it. If anything the lantern looks like a net negative to me at the moment, cyclical loot bonuses are going to produce a very poor economy so the only bonus is a few cheaper crafting options. |

Fully agree, repeating the exact same league for another 3 months is a slap in the face to their customers. I have seen mid league events that make this repeat look like dog food. They have an opportunity to really make it worth our time and bring back players. They are really missing this opportunity, very short sighted considering their lack of news and recent delays. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ NERF ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ NERF ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ NERF ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Last edited by Ziiyo on Nov 3, 2024, 9:32:07 PM

" erm i know we have it now...but its only once every 20 maps or whatever? i meant an event with 100% sentinel/wildwood. these encounters are too rare right now Last edited by Lyutsifer665 on Nov 4, 2024, 12:42:58 AM

" They have played this league as you can see by their achievements. They are simply pointing out fun mechanics from prior leagues that could be added to this refreshed settlers 2. Again, it just seems so lack luster and I doubt they will be getting many people back as the stats show how much we have dropped since launch. New content always brings people back, not staleran through content. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ NERF ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ NERF ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ NERF ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

No matter what they do in the future, they will never be able to retain a huge amount of players for 3, 4, 5 months straight. Cycles are a good thing, and leagues being a few months long is also a good thing: Dedicated players get to take a (longer) break when they beat everything in a few weeks, and more casual players have enough time to reach their goals. There's nothing wrong with being "finished" after a few weeks and there's nothing wrong with playing for several months.
That said; I've never understood why they don't "make more out of" events and short leagues as "fillers" or end-of-league happenings. They have YEARS of unused content they could throw at us, both from leagues and older events. We already know they don't care about the standard economy, so they could make these events as crazy as they want. Are they afraid of new leagues being underwhelming? Anyhow, do we know how long this "Settlers league 2.0" will run? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

They can't make a filler league be too good or it will make the next real league seem less good/special/rewarding by comparison. Even though it wouldn't really hurt the standard economy that's why they void any 1-week event that is even mildly rewarding as well.
