taking leave for a new league start i can get, but taking a FEW DAYS to be a beta tester is something else.

also as a arpg gamer for years even league start i would sleep away the first few hours as its not uncommon for server issues/queuing etc.

but that said, taking those few days leave you could actually go out and do stuff for YOURSELF.

go to the mall, look for old friends or friends who work retail (their offdays could be on regular work days)

sorry if it sounds like i m brushing you off a little but theres 1001 things you can do besides POE.

sometimes i myself take leaves to run errands that require me to go someplace during working hours. could i have done it in a few hours and return to work? yes. but i choose to continue chilling the day away.

its your time off. go relax or have some fun.
