You can check literally any thread ever made about an AH and find dozens of them. I remember suggesting an AH with limited auctions per account/day so even more restrictive than what we have now aside from gold and had to deal with a bunch of fools who were convinced that RMT and bots would doom the game if it ever was implemented. Talk about hyperbole.

Surprisingly enough, they introduced an AH now and nothing of the sort happened. Shocking.

The best part about the whole thing though is the reason it finally got implemented. Because Mark wanted some catalysts and didn't get any even after whispering a hundred people. Players had been dealing with this kind of stuff since the dawn of time and nobody cared, then it happens to the new boss and we get a fix instantly xD

didn't know you work at ggg and have precise numbers of
- abuse cases involving automated trade
- people quitting cause they got the ratios wrong ( remember, ggg had to add a warning that your ratio is way off usual ratios already in place
- the increase of bots to farm game gold and put orders in the system
- coordinated and successful efforts of folks to manipulate ratios

if your local town is in peace doesn't mean there isn't a war somewhere else

Thats why I said in league only. It wouldnt be very ethical for it to be implemented in Standard. This is the first league where Im trying to put out some youtube stuff and things I would like to obtain just haven't been online in 1-2 months. Feels bad.

I don't work at GGG but i am fairly sure you do not either so what's your point? I've seen little to no negative feedback on the matter of faustus throughout the entire league, nobody complaining about getting ripped of via wrong ratios or bots taking over the world. If that was a regular occurence i am pretty sure we would have had topics on that.

And frankly, even if there were, what of it? We've had people complaining about getting ripped of during trades because they didn't check what's offered. Is that a reason for you to remove trade? Probably not. There will always be someone who can't read and then blames the game mechanic for it.

Bot's are certainly there, they always have been and always will be. Same for trade manipulation. Not like that didn't happen with regular trade. Whether it's gotten worse or not, only GGG knows and seeing how they implemented this anyway it's seems they think it's justifiable to do so. And if faustus goes core, well then we will all know the answer won't we?

If you have links to those "wars" elsewhere feel free to share them. I am genuinely interested but frankly i doubt you have anything substantial.

I honestly feel the same in standard. Like special megalomaniacs, etc. Only 2 of them listed and only one is online, which is 2 mirrors and the offline one is 500 divine, etc. Perfectly logic motivation, just implementation would be very challenging without an auction house for items, not just currency.

Im just gonna leave here that i hope settlers as a whole go core. It introduced a lot more stuff than i realised on the first month of the league...

Mirrors are now target-farmable, but not to a crazy extent. Full lvl10 farmers maybe give a mirror in 2-ish months(unless you get crazy with buying uniqs for dusting, but when generating currency is a problem for players willing to spend hundred of chaos for dusting?)
Maps, even ones with horrible layouts like academy or cells, that used to just accumulate endlessly on the tab now have a use
On the same page, mid tier uniqs that had no use watsoever and got filtered out now also have a use(even if its to be destroyed, but still, some outdated uniqs also got new value now that hardcores want to buy them for dusting)
The real time creation of value as long as you have gold puts some pressure out of my shoulders to keep playing all the time i have available, as long as you have a solid gold strat, i can make decent amount of currency even playing just 2 hours a day on non-T17

And ofc, the AH is the single best qol update since ever
