Fog of war bug

Please GGG fix this bug! Deleting and reinstall the game every day is not funny anymore!

I do definitely agree that this needs fixing, but there is newly discovered (as of a week or two ago) band-aid for this problem.

When you get the bug:

1) Fully close Path of Exile

2) Launch some other game (you may have to try a few, D4 is reported NOT to work)

3) Close that game.

4) Launch Path of Exile

This temporarily fixes the fog of war/and or custom filter bug (aka local storage bug) for most players.

As I said, you may need to try a few different games.

Simpler/older games seem to have a higher success rate than newer/more complicated games, but the sample size is very small, so there may not actually be a correlation there.

BTW, I currently have to use this fix about once per 10-15 hours of gameplay.

Hi! Thanks for your answer but I use to get this bug months ago! But on PS4 client wasn't that often. with the new PS5 client is every day, so this isn't a new bug. Nothing helps me, I've tried your method with different games, cleared the cache...no luck! this is a serious and annoying bug that has to be fixed asp, even if is only two weeks old thats basically inacceptabil to take so long to fix. Spending some good money on this game just delete and reinstall every day, it's just not right! And I also think they really don't give much of a #### about console players. I'll post here every day until they will really start to work and fix it. And I invite everyone to do it! Just every day posting a report this!

Ohh, wait second time today, so not once a day, now once every few hours, great!

While I agree that this problem is becoming more frequent in less time and that it needs to be addressed yesterday.

I also came in as a skeptic that loading another game resets the problem, just as well as a reinstall, without all the extra data and waiting. It did take me 2 failed attempts with other games before I found one from my library that works, but once I did I just open the other game, close it, and open PoE.

I hope you figure it out sooner than GGG does, bc that might not come.

Ok! Name some games that works for you! I've try a few, but no result!

I've been using Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (the PS4 version that is basically an emulated PS2 game).

FrostPunk 1 (ps4) works for me gl

Pathfinder WotR worked for me.

Dawn of Man did not.

Hogwarts Legacy worked for me. I'll test some other ones as it reappears
