Fog of war still present on maps - 21608216 - PS5 client
I have reinstalled the game 6 times today because the map wasnt revealed after revisting. Reinstall fixes the issue for an hour or so, afterwards there is still a fog.

you can fix it just by starting any other game you own. The next map you open after that the bug will be fixed. Not perfect but better than reinstall.

" Any other game, *except Diablo 4*. I know 2 different who said it didn't work, and they both tried D4, and then it worked when they switched to a different game. | |
lol thats kind of funny that diablo doesnt fix it. That game isnt good for anything i guess :)

Didn't work when I booted up Enter the Gungeon, downloaded ps4 client.
Successfully reverted fog of war bug after playing Hogwarts Legacy a bit, ps5 disc copy. Last edited by pandaman1012#9718 on Oct 6, 2024, 2:47:22 PM

OMG .. this works!
I'm now progressing a new BG3 character everytime my custom filter or the fog of war flakes out on the PS5 Edition of POE. @GGG it would be nice to NOT have to dip into another game though. Do we have any idea why this bug is still lingering? If there's any data we plebs can help provide let me know what you need. Last edited by press_start73#9139 on Oct 4, 2024, 10:48:37 AM

Not working guys, feels like a troll suggestion. Only reinstall fixes it.

" its not a troll i used 7 days to die and it fixes it every time. try another game or something all i do is open the game for like 5 seconds and close it then the next map i run the bug is gone. Last edited by NewYorkGiant-#9669 on Oct 4, 2024, 9:20:13 PM

" Tried it, playing another game for an hour even doesnt fix it. |

" Some of the workarounds for this game just don't make sense. That's the best that I can explain it, lol. Like turning the sound off to have better connectivity, in the past. I have no idea how to explain this "fix" other than there being a problem with how the ps5 client writes and stores short term memory. Playing another game does seem to work, though it is not 100% and the remedy seems to be shorter lived than that provided by a reinstall. When I first tried this with Enter the Gungeon, it didn't work and I swore this was a troll rumor too. Kept seeing people in Global Chat swear it worked. After another 2 reinstalls, I finally tried a different game. I have no idea what qualifies a game to fix this problem, but Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Disc copy has worked 3 times for me now. The first time I got sucked back into that game and played a few hours and went to bed. Played PoE later and it was fixed. Chalked it up to there being an update or patch in my away time. Until it happened again, and I fixed it again, but only played 10 or 15 minutes in Hogwarts. Yesterday it happened and I literally just opened the game (Hogwarts), loaded my character, and then closed the game. Opened PoE and tested again, sure enough - no more reappearing fog. When it happens next time I am going to just open and close Hogwarts without loading my saved game and see if it works, and will report back.
