Make T17's Difficult Again
I am in favor of this. T17s are way too easy right now, so maybe it's time to make some unique adjustments such as making them singleplayer areas or reducing portal count

Oh yeah I definitely am ready for GGG to start implementing single player only areas. Especially when it comes to pinnacle and aspirational content. Hopefully this is fully implemented in POE2.
Would be a tremendous step in the right direction. If players need to lower the difficulty they added the bisection scarab for completion for T17s for scarab slots. And if they want the challenges, such as the 250% one for t17s this league, they need to set themselves up for it. That gives players something to set a goal for, rather than have unhealthy carries in this game. Mash the clean

" it does not depend on a player - but the build. any player can roll T17 as hiero ice nova of frostbolts. there are just ~5 mods to be avoided and everything else just dies frozen and harmless the same player would tell COMPLETELY different story if he decided to play something that didnt freeze and actually required more than 2 buttons to play. still doable but definitely no room for cheecky 'make it harder' requests there are dozen 'top' builds and even accross these top builds the difference in 'T17 compatibility' is outrageous for a mature content in a seemingly mature game it is is far less about player, POE is a very simple game, mostly about running in circles circle-straffing whats dangerous. it is about builds. you can argue that picking proper build is 'skill' - ill laugh it off. and not everyone is able to play the same build league after league (and complain/brag that the game is too easy) T17 distorted POE, created yet another stratification event nobody asked for, introduced completely unfun concepts (every x seconds dont deal damage.. like holy fuck what is this garbage?) and.. made absolutely sure that they print money that profitability coupled with STRICT build compatibility requirements - dull. pre-T17 you could pick pretty much any build and youll do fine, maybe even kill few easier ubers now? you pick your build thinking about how many BS t17 mods you cannot do, if that number is > X, you pick another build. sorry but this sucks. it is almost as bad as Sanctum. less limiting but the scope is much bigger. | |

No, sid. Trust me, the player matters. You can make builds that don't require any player skill to perform well (just look at the DD chieftains from affliction league) but this is only true for some builds. We see time and time again how poor piloting is the cause of frustration.
This has always been true, but it has become more visible with T17s being added to the game because a new layer of difficulty was added at the topend. Maybe it's time for some players to stop coping and instead work on actually learning the game. The past few leagues have introduced massive powercreep to the game so chances are that if you are struggling now, you should. " "Git gud" is never a solution to a game adding such overtuned content that divides the playerbase. Not to mention its way too rewarding for the 0.1% that can do it. The keystones for uber bosses were 100000000000x better than whatever t17s are. They just deliberately choose to make the game more unfun and annoying with stuff like this. Mods like "deal no damage every x seconds" or any of the valdo mods shouldn't even exist on these maps in the first place lol. It was obvious how insanely off-target the design was when they weren't even rollable at first. These maps were literally impossible for me to do last league because scarab of bisection didn't exist and the mods had insanely high numbers on them. That's how overtuned they are. Lest we forget, these maps still to this day utterly fail at their purpose of being "bridge content". They're bad, they're a chore to run. These maps just suck and that's all there is to it. It has nothing to do with the players. | |
Not this misinterpretation of "bridge content" again. Your subjective understanding of the phrase is "difficulty between t16s and ubers" whereas whatt was explained was that T17s are the gateway to uber pinnacles as in... they drop the fragments. They also unlock the last scarab slot which is another step towards pinnacle endgame mapping.
So can you stop falsely bringing that up again and again? It's enough. I never said "git gud", but if skill is the issue then improving your ability as a gamer is the answer - whether you like it or not. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

They quite literally said it was bridge content between uber bosses and normal endgame in the reveal livestream when t17s were announced. I'm not misinterpreting anything kek
And no, not every badly designed thing in a game is meant to be overcome by the player's skill, whether they make a build to completely ignore 90% of the game's mechanics or do something else. That's just ignoring the problem that's there, which is t17s suck atm |
