Best gauntlet yet?

Kinda feels like a combination of too easy and too hard at the same time, but honestly I like it - the surprise boss mechanics are great for keeping me interested as i've found it hard to get into the later gauntlets after I sweated through the early ones to 90+.

Boat helps too, I usually find gauntlets feel better when we have a league mechanic good for SSF.

Great gauntlet so far imo top players actually dead in campane is a cool change from a viewers standpoint. The meta is about as diverse as any gauntlet before so thats good. I was rooting big time for phazeplays to win it but he ripped in maps so now idk who I'm gona root for to win besides ben.

Overall I'd say the game is probably in the healthyest state it's ever been in so perfect timing for a gauntlet imo. Also praying for the people and poe players in flordia rn bad time for them rn.

The gauntlet only seems interesting if you view PoE as a spectator sport.

It would be nice if GGG put time into events again. Instead it seems like they don't do events specifically to avoid competition with the gauntlet.

I.e. normal players lose out to streamer-focused content.

Seems like a pretty bad deal.

The campaign this time is a pretty unique experience regardless of it being a streamer event, I think there is plenty there for normal players if they are willing to go with the flow and just have some fun.

Even tho I might not have enough time to even complete the campaign I started a character today and I'm having a blast.

The changes to the different unique monsters are awesome and I'm already excited for Malachai.

There's no point in Gauntlet if it's SC. Not interesting, not extreme enough. Waste of time. SC is basically zero-challenge mode with 0 risk.

yup wouldnt be entertaining or even worth it to be a SC event.


Plenty of people already have difficulty enough on SC in the base game... somehow. So there would be no point adding that mode to SC.

Yeah i know what you are trying to say.

But being massively over leveled running blue maps.
Is not risky its avoiding risk ...
you know like in insurance , risk aversion i would say.

And watching hardcore is about as fun as an insurance seminar.

I made it through the campaign, yay. And on the first try, this was completely unexpected. So much fun, thrill and tinkering, stuff matters from act 1 to act 10. It was a great gameplay experience.

next league start will be hc ssf for me, i am hooked!

I heard the company I work for charges out senior consultants at $200p/h, so I am going to transpose that into that being what I lose every hour I donate to PoE in my spare time.

I could go on about how Ben is a fraud, but I don't have time for that.

Yeah I've spent 4 years on here complaining about the gauntlet but I don't have time for complaining about the gauntlet.

Let me tell you why the gauntlet is bogus.
