Dire Torment and Perfect Agony?

So here's the thing:

"Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments is equal to Critical Strike Multiplier"

It is literally telling you that the number you are looking at now is on your character page: Critical Strike Multiplier. This is the new absolute modifier for damage over time.

Does the "new" node you choose add anything to this value? In the case of DoT multipliers....no. No amount of added DoT multiplier changes the value of Critical Strike Multiplier.

"DoT multiplier REMAINS equal to Critical Strike Multiplier"



Examples of similar mods:
Your maximum resistances are 80%. Even if one is raised to 85%.....it is 80%
Your maximum total life is 1. Even if you add 100 life.....it is 1
Movement speed is 150% of base value. Even if you get 30% increased movement speed....it is 150% of base value.
Your resistances are zero. Any positive/negative resistances.....are zero
X charges are equal to Y charges. Increases to X charges don't matter....set to Y charge number.
