[3.25] The Lazy Nova - Archmage MoM Crit Ice Nova of Frostbolts with Svalinn

"

Hello. In this build we are allowed to use only one aura (see the gem called Eternal Blessing for the reason why).

As such, you want to look for Watchers Eye that have the same aura on as many of the three affixes as you can find/afford.

There are different variations of this build but the majority use one of Zealotry, Wrath or Purity of Elements.

You can run a 2nd aura with Arrogance support. Just make sure its a low cost one or youll lose too much HP to be worth it. This is primarily only useful for activating a 2nd watchers eye mod (clarity/precision/etc)

Would anyone know if it's possible to have a Watcher's Eye with 3 mods of the same skill? I've been trying to find one in Trade for a triple Zealotry or Wrath but not seeing any -- so I'm thinking of doing the Beastcraft rerolling of Watcher's Eye mods until I get a triple mod one.

It is definitely possible to get 3 of the same but it is very rare. You typically see them posted on reddit a few times a league as a show piece.

Thanks for confirming! Heading to the Beastcrafting slot machine now.

Good luck. Target crafting a triple mod would be insanely expensive. Was bored so I did the math, please correct me if you see a mistake.

Spoiler
I believe watcher's eye rolls from a pool of 90 mods.

~1% to roll any given mod (1/90)

Beastcraft reroll is unweighted

~33% chance to reroll target affix (1/3)

Taking a 3-mod watchers eye that aleady has a double-affix for desired aura is the starting point

~0.37% chance to reroll the undesired affix into any specific mod (0.33333*0.011111)

Different Auras have different numbers of possible mods (wrath 6, zealotry 7), but not all are especially useful for any given build.

For the sake of simplicity, lets say that there are 2 mods that would be considered a hit, upping your odds to ~0.74% chance per attempt.

Each attempt cost at a minimum, the 4 beast and requires a base.

Vivid Watchers -2d/ea in bulk
Yellow Beast - -0.1d/3 in bulk

Every attempt has ~67% chance to ruin your base by rolling away a desired existing mod.

It will take you on average 13,514 attempts to succeed.
(100/0.0074)

9054 of those attempts will require a new base jewel with the 2 desired mods.
(13514*0.67)

The cost of a 3-mod watchers eye with 2 same-aura mods varies greatly, and they are in very low supply in league at this point. But even being very generous, and assuming you pick the least expensive mods to start with as base, lets say 30d-60d ea. (a wrath lightning pen + any wrath mod is over 150d right now)

Edit, I just realized this doesnt take into account that some of the fails would reroll a desired affix into another desired affix.

Ran out of time, but this would lower your cost by approx 2.5-5 mirrors in saved bases.

Average Cost:

Vivid Watchers-27028d
Yellow Beast- 1351d
Base Jewels- 271620d-543240d

Total: 359-684 mirrors @ 830d ea (adjusted for edit)

What I'm doing is different and not as expensive. I buy a cheaply priced double zealotry or wrath modded Watcher's Eye using multiple live searches and I use the Wild Helion Alpha beastcraft (0.7 div each) to reroll one random mod at a time. If I lose the double mod, I buy another Watcher's Eye.

My best streak so far is 4 rerolls before I lose the double mod out of 5 attempts.

yea my bad, watchers are for awakened jewels, I was doing some yesterday and just had em on the brain.

The main expensive anyway tho is from buying those 2-mod bases, unless you are settling for mods that arent very useful to archmage (phys to lighting, etc), i dont see how thats cheap.

I was just thinking it might be alot cheaper to just start with a pile of single-mod base and mass reroll, would just need to have a decent knowledge of what other 2-mods sell well for other builds

Using live searches, I was able to get decent double-mod bases for 20-50 div. The mass rerolling idea sounds like it could probably be the cheaper way to go since it's just 0.7 div + 3 yellow beasts per pop.

With no significant upgrades left to spend on and POE2 just around the corner, this is how I'll be gambling my divs away before POE2 gates open.

Gotcha well if you hit any wrath/wrath/MoM clarity and want to sell, ill be happy to help add to your gamble funds xD

Just came here to say this was one of the funnest Ice Nova Frostbolts builds i have ever played, the ceiling of potential with this build is so insanely high that it just completely rolls over all content in the game. Thank you for sharing this! Have fun in PoE2!
