GGG tell me PoE2 will be another, no life players only?
" Without proof your claim is voided. Now back to the OP yeah hope it will be more casual, cuz right now time == currency. No time == do not play PoE choose something else. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

i havent been keeping up with the news regarding poe2 but i thought that game will be more slower and less grindy and more for casuals? if ts just as grindy then why will people who hate that kinda stuff even try poe2? they can just stay here and grind here for 12 hours. it would be a smart business decision to not just cater to one audience with that new game as well. GGG already made that mistake with poe1

Internet is broken because of people like this. You have free will do you not? GGG is not here to serve you. How entitled do you have to be to think a for profit organization owes you the game you want?
First response to the thread answered it better than anyone could. Other than the post itself which recognizes it's own nonsense. IT'S LITERALLY A FREE GAME THAT ANYONE WITH A CONNECTION CAN PLAY. Go play the game you like instead of begging an whining on the forum of the game you don't like. Or continue doing this, it seems what you like is complaining on forums, so keep exercising your free will. Two separate companies, made games you like, and your on the forum of a third company, complaining their free product is not good enough for you and it should be like the products of the other companies that tailored their product to you. All games aren't the same and for me. Embarrassment of a post. Where is the part of the post where you are making a game for other people to enjoy instead of criticizing other peoples creation? How many game do you want that are all the same? You have a lvl 100 character in this free game and you are complaining about the free game that has been created that you chose to play not being upto your standards. I would say this has to be a troll post but people have actually started thinking like this. Thankfully someone is not listening to the direction this group think the game should be taken. Let GGG make the game they want to make.
They have given us a wonderful PoE1 and will surely give us a wonderful PoE2! |

" They won't make the game for casuals...That's something that it needs to get in everyone's head...Making the game for casuals will not keep people in the game for long enough to buy MTX, which is their philosophy of getting money. D4 is the opposite as you pay for the game and they are greedy enough to put a mtx shop and battle pass included in the game...GGG on the other hand forces your hand to stay in the game long enough to buy something because it's a general psychology. If 1 person in 1 hour buys 1x mtx, just keep 10 people for 1 hour into the game to sell 10x mtx is simple.. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

I had some desire to rehire some map runners and at the same time fullfill some quotas with ore. Therefore i speedfarmed yellow maps for Ore and some gold, because it is faster than juiced t16 to hit a specific Ore that you need.
While doing that i thought about players that complain all the time. Why do you not relieve yourself of all the worries and farm lower tier content??? It is a breeze. But no, you want it all with just 2 hours playtime in the evening, jeez...
" i didnt mean full casual mode, but a bit more casual friendly than the current poe. if both games are the same and the only difference is a new campaign and better graphics etc, then i will only choose one game and focus on that. i think many people will be like that. we dont have the time to grind 2 games for 8-12 hours each. |

While trying to cater to a larger audience, they also try to go back to their original vision of the game.
Some of the OG POE 1 players might remember how hard and slow POE used to be, and along the way it got lost in power creep and speed. I think POE 2 will be just that. A slow, and hard game; at least at the start. But if you no life it you just might turn it into speed at endgame. I think POE as a whole is not meant for the "normies" by design philosophy. So all I can say is try it out when it's available and see how it firs with you. |

" That rule just applies to SSF. Trade is Bozo mode regardless. Roll flasks, swap orbs in harvest, corrupt 8 mod maps, roll cluster or corrupted jewels for adorned. Just get basic knowledge about the game and you will never starve currency. You literally need 1-2 hours and your whole league is saved, no matter what atlas strategy you choose. In trade no strategy makes more currency than crafting.
I wanted to play Settlers of Kalguur, but time/circumstances prevented me from doing so during the first week of the league.
Now? There's no point in me even starting. It's really terrible how the system encourages this boom-or-bust cycle in which you cannot even play a league if you are unable to participate in it from Day 1 Hour 1, and if you are unable to devote an absurd percentage of your time to it within that first weeklong window you are effectively barred from participation in the league. Everyone who IS playing it has already moved into Ultra Endgame, all trades are being done to the tune of 50+ divines per trade, and it becomes exceptionally difficult to acquire anything other than basic gear because people have either already moved on, or are too busy farming Uber Maven to bother with progression trades. It's actively stopped me from playing in a good few leagues, and I imagine I'm not the only one. Will Path 2 be better about that? Probably not. The fundamental way a league economy works is that First is King. The sooner you can get to something, the more people you beat to it, the better off you are. That super strongly incentivizes 'No-life" play, i.e. frontloading your playtime in a league to be First to as much crap as you possibly can so you can be leisurely for the rest of your league on the unconscionable dragon's hoard of currency you built during your first-week No Life Blitz. They really can't fix that, so either folks like you and me make peace with it OP, or we give up on Path of Exile altogether. Sucks, but what can we do, eh? |
