I already dislike 3.25 it seems like another micromanagment and reading
I for one am pining for another complex progressive league mechanic like Delve/Heist/Sanctum.
The closest we got recently was ToTA and that didn't really vibe with me to be honest. Affliction and Necropolis were ok mechanics but they focused more on giving us power rather than new gameplay elements to enjoy. I'd love to see synthesis or original harvest back in some form but I highly doubt that would ever happen haha. The dev approach has been pretty soft towards the playerbase recently so I don't see them making any fundamental changes that would upset people like bringing back old layers of complexity :') League mechanics aside though, the core changes to the game have been carrying it recently; and even if we got basically nothing in the new league mechanics themselves I would still be playing and enjoying myself immensely. So whichever way this new mechanic goes, I'll still be hyped for the upcoming league. Souls along a conduit of blood, from one vessel to the next.

I find it very amusing the amount of flak the OP got for "speculation" considering his thoughts came from GGG's own drip fed teaser marketing.
What else is there to do but speculate when GGG just provides smaller teaser clips? I mean really. Sure there is middle ground between blind faith, and unwavering cynicism, but overall let's not shoot the messenger here since it's GGG hype-building marketing drama at work. " And expedition had quite bad player retention. Not as bad as necropolis and kalandra, but on the lower end. Meanwhile, the best retention leagues are: Breach Abyss Bestiary Harbinger etc. Things that are simple and complementary to maps. Or side content that is easy to understand and get involved with, like delve (or to a lesser extent sanctum, though sanctum strongly disfavors some types of builds). Stuff like TOTA is too far away from the core game. There's people on the forums that love spending 2 hours setting up a graveyard craft, but they are a tiny minority. Most people just want to blast and don't want to spend 10 minutes reading every map. Even Ben complains about this kind of content and hates reading expedition markers and having to plan out explosive paths, and it's even worse since they made Rog one of the only ways to get high-quality rares in SSF so expedition is basically required for HCSSF or challenge leagues. " Expedition "failed" because of the flask nerfs and other drama... you seem to forget that they don't just push out new leagues but also change the game as a whole through expansions and balance changes. But sure, just completely ignore those things for whatever reason. Might wanna read this article The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" And dont forget, if you miss a color/movement puzzle in a screen cramed of visual high contrast noise, you take 50000 unavoidable, unmitigated damage. I also like the "go'n smash with your Big Bonker Club" way. The Karui Way. |
