I already dislike 3.25 it seems like another micromanagment and reading

" My bad. I thought you were doing a revisionist history thing, portraying recent leagues as being somehow unusual and not something that GGG have always done. You might be too focused on efficiency as the goal, though. This is still a game; if you're having fun playing the game, then you're already winning. I don't measure my progress against anyone else's arbitrary set of performance metrics, and maybe that's why I enjoyed Harvest for the gardening, and didn't actually use any 3rd party programs to do so. Ditto for Necropolis (just started a 2nd character), and any number of other leagues over the last decade... which is why I'm still playing PoE after a decade. If you demand that a league be something specific before even seeing single detail about the mechanic involved then you're basically guaranteed to have a bad time. Meet a new league where it is, experience it on its own terms, and most of them are fun. Except for Kalandra. That one sucked. Remember, remember the 6th of December...

" Expedition is a bad example for your case. The whole leage people complained that they had to read the damn remnants even after GGG color coded that stuff. |

If you're implying that stuff like craft of exile being a 3rd party program then i wholeheartedly disagree with this. I didn't use a single third party program for grave crafting. All you needed to do with grave crafting is to look at the tags. You don't need a calculator.
I think gravecrafting is awesome. I like using phys weapons though. Go craft yourself a perfect prefixes phys weapon with attack speed without grave crafting and without a fracture, so you can synthesize it. Getting a free perfect weapon just by farming is insane. The reason people don't realize this is because +1 +1 spell damage sceptres have been easily craftable since harvest. Melee phys players have been taking it up the rear for a long time. |

" At least with a circle I can choose to ignore it :) Looks like some kind of farm league to me. Totally random guess. ~ Adapt, Improvise and Overcome Last edited by DoubleU on Jul 5, 2024, 9:31:55 PM

To the poster who was wondering what might be nerfed this league: undoubtedly it will be melee builds as they are long overdue and OP as shit.

" I always did like the voluntary league gimmicks, even as far back as Beyond. On the other hand, Anarchy was brilliant and spawned a whole genre convention. I think Ambush was the best league gimmick ever introduced, once they figured out how to stop the box spawn from being an instakill due to lag of spawn (perandus had a similar issue from memory). Betrayal will ALWAYS be my favourite league for its ambition and writing. Breach was abhorrent. The beginning of the zoomer/deeps check league gimmick. Abyss at least did the same thing but with an interesting second step. MOST of the overcooked leagues bored me. Synthesis should have been right up my alley given how heavy with lore it was, but good grief was it implemented messily. Harbinger had the actual best lore. They fucking created a language for it, and it was sublimely eldritch -- PoE at its best is always at least a little Lovecraftian. Beyond just straight up copied Lovecraftian nomenclature, and without the Dreamlands we wouldn't even have the Atlas of Worlds -- woe to the day they actually made the Atlas literally, as though confining non-linear dreamscapes to two dimensions was somehow anything but a sad simplification... but eh, if this thread is any example, some Exiles need their shit simplified I guess. I do not tire of reading the Harbinger lore. It grieves me that THAT wasn't the basis for PoE 2. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

Yeah the leagues where you have to spend 5m every map stopping to read or whatever are boring af. I'll probably skip it if it's like that.

micromanagement is boring.
i'll go with the OP's hope that this league isn't that. GGG does try to get creative in the leagues, and often succeeds, but it's amazing how often the implementation is just plain bad. here's hoping for an interesting and well implemented mechanic. |
